Not extra terrestrial encounters, but believe it or not, starting in the 1950s, it all began misinformation. Tactics included distributing doctored photos of flying saucers to make you believe it was just UFO stuff. It really wasn't. Their goal to divert attention from stealth fighter [00:01:00] projects and other critical weapons systems during the Cold War. These campaigns aimed to mislead both the American public and foreign intelligence, especially the Soviet Union, the Pentagon program. Led by these chief scientists uncovered that these disinformation practices may have been carried out by Well commanders all across the country. The Department of Defense is preparing to release more detailed findings earlier this year. Yeah. Bottom line is they deliberately misled the public and the foreign intelligence Wall Street Journal also touches. On Cold War incidents such as the 1967 event where missile systems were inexplicably disabled. They lied about it all and now [00:02:00] they've been caught.
