General Motors that's GM has retreated from its quote, previous commitment. To eliminate gasoline powered vehicles by 2035. Yep. They've retreated. They were gonna cut out gas powered vehicles. Now they're going, no, we're gonna keep 'em on opting instead to invest $4 billion in. Primarily gasoline [00:01:00] powered vehicle production.
GM also plans to relocate the production of about a half a million gas powered vehicles from Mexico to the United States. To avoid the 25% tariffs thanks to Donald Trump, jobs coming back, jobs and factories will come roaring back into our country. This shift aligns. Listen to this with the diminished consumer interest in EVS and reduced federal support for green energy initiatives.
Despite the moves, GM still continues to produce electric vehicles. Such as the Chevrolet Silverado and the Cadillac Escalade at their plant in Detroit. So they're still doing some EVs, but not near like we were told. In addition to this, GM has committed to significant investments in traditional engine [00:02:00] facilities, including 888 billion in Buffalo, New York, 579 billion in.
An engine plant in Flint, Michigan. So good news, ladies and gentlemen, gas powered vehicles have become in again now that the propaganda of Joe Biden is gone. Americans can choose as they will. I believe people should choose what vehicles they want to drive. As for me, I want a gas powered vehicle. How about you?
