The Pentagon is reportedly preparing a Domestic Civil Disturbance Quick Reaction Force of 600 National Guard troops ready to deploy within an hour to quell riots nationwide. Two units of 300 will be stationed in Arizona and Alabama to respond to disturbances on either side of the Mississippi.
Trump’s law-and-order stance is reinforced with prior National Guard deployments to Washington, DC and Los Angeles. Funding for this rapid-response initiative could reach hundreds of millions by fiscal year 2027.
