[00:00:04] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West, you are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. JD Vance isn't following Donald Trump blindly anymore. We'll talk about that. We also want to talk about whiskey, ladies and gentlemen. Sheriff Richard Mack with me, CSPOA President and Founder, CSPOA.org.
[00:00:31] Sheriff, welcome back. And the Supreme Court now takes up a, quote, constitutional challenge to a 158-year-old ban on distilleries or distilling, if you will, making whiskey. You want to make whiskey in your basement or whatever? You want to be Uncle Hiram or whatever?
[00:00:50] The Supreme Court, I guess, will look at a 1868 federal prohibition on distilling whiskey and other spirits at home now. Challengers argue that Congress exceeded its authority and its constitutional taxing powers. And the Trump administration, of course, is defending the ban, arguing that it helps prevent evasion of federal liquor taxes.
[00:01:17] Federal appeals courts have reached conflicting decisions is why it's headed to the Supreme Court. What do you think? Should we be able to make whiskey at home, Sheriff? I wish nobody would make it. But again, I don't believe in prohibition either. And neither did Abraham Lincoln. Prohibition makes the founders. They didn't put anything about whiskey. Well, of course. Well, they all were drinkers, too.
[00:01:41] And I had a very unpleasant experience while I was undercover with whiskey. My trainers to help me train to go undercover taught me how to roll marijuana cigarettes. They taught me how to smoke marijuana. They taught me how to smoke cigarettes. I didn't know any of that. They taught me how to drink a beer. But it never covered whiskey.
[00:02:11] And looking at all the Western movies when the cattle drivers would come into a bar and they'd say, Barkeep, give me a whiskey. And they would grab that and down it in just one big gulp. And that's all I knew about whiskey. That's all I knew. So I'm in a bar. I'm in a bar in Provo. Undercover. Let's be clear. Let everybody know. Undercover.
[00:02:39] And I started talking with this guy. And in Utah, you could not order hard drinks in a bar. You could get any kind of beer you wanted. But you could not order hard drinks. So you could bring your own bottle of whiskey in. And then you could order a Coke from them. And you could mix it however you wanted. And so I was talking to this guy. He was real friendly. He was kind of a cowboy dude. And he says, hey, do you want to drink my whiskey?
[00:03:08] And I said, well, yeah, I guess I'd like to try it. And he didn't mix it with Coke or anything. He just gave me straight whiskey. And I downed that like I was the cowboy at the bar. And I just about choked to death. And he goes, you obviously are not a whiskey drinker. I said, I never have been. That's the first time I've tried it. And I was hoping at the same time I wasn't giving myself away. And, you know, man.
[00:03:37] Oh, you're probably giving yourself away. Well, I still tried to talk real tough. Well, I'll take a beer anytime, man, you know. But I hated beer, too. But so when that happened, I learned a lot that day. And I was embarrassed. And I was afraid I was giving my ID away. Yeah, you were blowing your cover there, sir. But at the same time, whiskey is way strong. That's why they call it rock gut, Sheriff.
[00:04:06] Yeah, that's right. And it's, you know, this whole thing that I can't make whiskey in my home. You know, why can't I make my own food then? You know, because we're the idea, Sheriff. Stop. Oh, I know. But this is really another ridiculous move by government. Obviously, Trump's on the wrong side on that one. Yeah, Trump's trying to protect the taxes. You know, see, that's the problem is, hey, where do they get the authority to tax?
[00:04:36] You know, they have authority to tax. I get it. That's congressional authority. But do they have the ability to tax, say, whiskey or, you know, whatever over, say, orange juice? No. No, they don't. That's discrimination, drink discrimination, isn't it, Sheriff? Yeah. The poor whiskey drinker. You know, and I hate all drugs and especially alcohol consumption. I don't hate all drugs. I think if they're used for the proper purpose of, you know, medicine and everything else, I think it makes sense.
[00:05:06] Yeah, but very few of them are. And, you know, if I could, still, I don't want to take drugs, even though I do when I'm sick. And I'll take, you know, I've taken penicillin before and I think penicillin works. I've taken very few vaccinations in my life, but I don't think most of them work. But at the same time, I believe there's been some that have. I think the polio vax worked. There's other people that say it didn't, but I actually believe that it did.
[00:05:36] The only one I'm really convinced that has some value is the tetanus shot. You think it does have value? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. And I'm probably in agreement with that. But we over vax in this country big time. And I also think you take the rabies shot if you get bit and you take the rabies shot. That's probably pretty smart, too. Oh, wow. Yeah. And that's very painful. But I've seen people. It's painful, but it's better than dying from rabies. Well, yeah, of course.
[00:06:03] But this is another overreach of government. Government doesn't own whiskey or beer or any of that. It's a business. And these businesses have a right to operate. And if they go out of business because people don't use their product, great. Fine with me. That's fine. But I'm against prohibition. Amen. Because it's not a federal government issue, first of all. No, it's not. The other issue is, for example, marijuana and everything else.
[00:06:33] I don't have any problem with medical use of marijuana either. No, of course not. And, again, I want to emphasize, I'm 100% against recreational use of drugs. I'm 100%. Nobody hates it worse than I do. That's why I said hate before. I hate drug abuse more than any person on the face of this planet. Yeah, because it destroys people and families and life and creates abuse and all kinds of different stuff. And alcohol is the worst one.
[00:07:02] Alcohol causes more damage than any of them. But that's the one we've given carte blanche. As long as you do it government style, you're fine. Yeah. As long as the government gets a piece of that destructive pie, it's fine, sir. Right. And now marijuana is becoming the same. Let's just tax it. Oh, yes. Let's tax it. Oh, good. We're off for it. If people use marijuana for medical purposes, I don't have a problem with it. And here's what's interesting. If you drink, you're fine. If you smoke marijuana, you're a pothead. You're a dope. You're lazy. No good. Nobody kind of thing.
[00:07:29] And now even if you take marijuana, even if you don't smoke it, but you take it in some other form for whatever legitimate health need that you have, people look down on you. But, buddy, if you're on morphine, but the doctor says it's okay, oh, no big deal. You're doing what you're supposed to. I mean, it's insane. And it's all because of the way the government treats this stuff, how we kind of view it in our society. Oh, my gosh, that guy's a pothead.
[00:07:53] But the person that's on morphine or a person that's on, you know, other significant opiates or whatever you want to call them, they're fine because the doctor said so, right? Well, and big pharma doesn't like the competition. And so they'll, you know, try to get the government to help them with that. And they have. All right. So how do you think the Supreme Court is going to weigh in on this one, Sheriff? I think they should say, you boys learn how to play fair.
[00:08:21] And this is none of your business. And go back to things that are more important. I know that's what you think they should do. Do you think they'll do that? No. I don't think so at all. I think they're going to outlaw that. They're going to say the only people that can make whiskey are government-approved organizations with government partnership sales. And that's what we have right now, right? And that's the stupidest decision they could make. Well, there you have it. But anyway, I thought I'd bring that up because it was quite interesting before the midterms, ladies and gentlemen.
[00:08:51] I want to move to Vice President J.D. Vance. Vance decides that he's not. He declined to endorse Benjamin Netanyahu. He says, I don't want to talk about Israel. I want to talk about U.S. politics. I'm an American. And so J.D. Vance stated that he would not endorse anyone in Israel in the upcoming election, distancing himself from President Trump, who doubled down and endorsed Benjamin Netanyahu.
[00:09:17] This announcement comes as Benjamin Netanyahu is in a very tight race, from what I understand. And Trump praised Benjamin Netanyahu for combating threats from Iran, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. But this is the first time I've really seen Vance go a different direction than Trump. We heard smatterings that on the war, he was less war hawkish than Trump, et cetera, et cetera. But it wasn't blatantly stated. It wasn't publicly from Vance.
[00:09:43] It was just kind of a we hear Donald is. But now this is a direct break publicly. The first time we've seen it, Sheriff. And I don't think Trump should care. You know, this is a personal choice. It's a foreign country halfway across the world.
[00:10:29] I'm with you all the way. All right, ladies and gentlemen, quick pause, man. Sheriff Mack wants to endorse Benjamin Netanyahu. I don't. So I'm kind of J.D. Vance and he's kind of Donald Trump. But here's the point. I think Sheriff's right about that. We can disagree and not worry about it. We have our own opinions, ladies and gentlemen. But when we come back, I want to ask about what if all kinds of foreign leaders endorsed certain candidates on our side? Would we call it election fraud or election manipulation? Or let's talk about it in seconds.

Become a member today and get the book MurderOfAmerica.com. Yeah, the new book's out. The Democrat Murder of America, Demagoguery in the First Degree, highlighting Daniel Perkins and Sheriff Richard Mack's incredible new book. MurderOfAmerica.com, go check it out.
[00:13:17] The title's intentionally punchy, intentionally provocative to help you look at it and say, hey, it's really the principles. Either you support the principles of the Constitution and you stand with us for the sacred cause of liberty, or you back the principles of communism under the cloak of all other isms that eventually sound good but lead to communism. All roads lead to that. Good intentions are not. Lead straight to hell, folks. And President Trump's warning about that, and so are we. Now, Vice President Vance decides he won't endorse anybody over in Israel.
[00:13:47] He says he wants to focus on American politics. I agree. And here's the interesting question. What if all kinds of other people around the world endorsed certain candidates in the United States? Wouldn't we have a problem with it, Sheriff? Wouldn't people be like, hey, wait a minute. Why is, you know, the leader of the UK or the leader of England or whatever endorsing Kamala Harris? Or why is, you know, the Russian leader, Donald Trump, endorsing Donald Trump? You know, we would have all kinds of issues with that, wouldn't we? Well, it does happen a little bit.
[00:14:15] I don't think it happens a great deal. But I would rather have that. I would rather have the prime minister of some foreign country endorse me than, say, some movie star in Hollywood that doesn't know anything about politics and, in fact, doesn't know anything about anything. What if the president of North Korea comes out and says, I love Sheriff Richard Mack? Donald, you know, Mack's great. And you get endorsed by all these communist leaders.
[00:14:45] Well, President Reagan said, I can't help who endorses me or supports me. Yeah. And Ron Paul was endorsed by a lot of the prostitutes. And they tried to catch him on that. And basically, Ron Paul said, even prostitutes, even though I don't agree with them on everything else, they can be right when it comes to freedom. Right. Exactly. And so, you know, he and Ronald Reagan are people I've quoted about that because I don't support the drug war. Right.
[00:15:13] And Ronald Reagan did, but Ron Paul did not. And I'm totally wrong with you and Ron Paul. And it's a freedom issue. It's really a freedom issue. But it's also a law enforcement issue. I don't want one million law enforcement officers hellbent on finding out what's in my pocket, what's in my chest of drawers, or what's in my glove compartment. I don't want that. Or whether he's playing Ohio and making beer in his basement, right? Yeah. Yeah.
[00:15:43] Because you know that they say God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy, right? Yeah. But what are they going to do if they actually, if the Supreme Court sides with Trump on that? And what are they going to do? Start going and auditing homes to make sure they're not. Basement cops. Let's go into homes and make sure that they don't have a distillery in there. That's just stupid. It's stupid. It's crazy. It's out of control, and it's got to stop.
[00:16:08] So the next question is, if we endorse candidates of other countries, and other countries endorse candidates or whatever in our country, what about the next step using their social media accounts to promote or advocate for a certain candidate? And or what if they create a bunch of fake accounts and advocate for candidates? Or what if they actually create fake accounts and lie about what's going on in an attempt to submerge the electorate and suppress voting or change views and outcomes and manipulate politics? What about going to that level, Sheriff?
[00:16:38] Well, that's why the founding fathers, especially John Adams, warned us that our Constitution was for a moral and religious people and wholly inadequate for any other. I think that we're seeing the immorality and the divisiveness and the hate and the corruption within the political structure worldwide. But it's especially raising its ugly head in the United States right now.
[00:17:06] The founding fathers actually depended on the American people to be honest and fair about the whole thing. And moral colors knowing right from wrong. And what? Having a moral compass knowing right from wrong. Well, yeah, of course. And that's really the demise of our country is because we've moved away from that.
[00:17:28] It's okay to – in politics, it's 100% okay to be dishonest, unfair, mean, and attack your opponent whether it's true or not. Yeah, just don't talk about somebody's kids or somebody's mom. And so now there's a big old debate in Ohio because Vivek Ramaswamy ran a commercial about his opponent's mom saying the opponent's a liar and everything else. And it isn't going well.
[00:17:57] Both parties are attacking Vivek Ramaswamy for this because they say he's kind of gone out of bounds. And this is where, again, I think the parties are the problem too. When you endorse a candidate, if you're a communist leader and you endorse a freedom-loving candidate, try to mix people up and confuse people. If we didn't have parties – and your book talks about these parties and factions quite a bit as well. The Democrat Murderer of America, folks. DemocratMurdererOfAmerica.com. It really highlights this. If we didn't have parties then, you could just say, hey, endorse me, whoever you want to, call me what you want to, go look at my record.
[00:18:27] But when we have to kowtow to partisan politics, it doesn't work too well that way, Sheriff. Well, yeah, and Chapter 5 actually dispels that myth and talks about the party problem. That's the name of the chapter. And it assails Republicans and Democrats alike because President George Washington in his farewell address said that the two-party system will be the bane of American liberty.
[00:18:55] And he certainly was correct. Sadly, we're seeing prophecy fulfilled, aren't we? How would we ever take that back, Sam? How would we ever take control of our government away from the Democrats and Republicans? The only way is if enough Americans decided the party was over like Sam Bushman. But the problem is I'm one in a million. Yeah.
[00:19:16] Because even if you started a petition drive nationwide to get rid of the two-party system and to take control back to the American people of our government, which is what's supposed to be, you wouldn't get enough. Are there enough independents that would actually sign it? No. No, I don't think so either. And even if you've got 100 million, you know, the problem is that even that kind of number, you'd still have to go and change a gazillion laws.
[00:19:45] They've built a moat around themselves in the castle, sir. And they've created a situation where it would be almost impossible to undo because every single law, if they've got 1,000 laws that protect them, every single law would be nuanced and divide people. Yeah. Yeah. And the judges are Democrats and the judges are Republicans and they won't do what they're supposed to do. Obviously, I think judges are the biggest clown show in the country.
[00:20:14] It's one of them. The other one is this. The White House offers $25 million in rewards for exposing government fraud. Whistleblowers can receive up to 30K if they blow the whistle. The White House under President Trump's administration introduced a new Justice Department initiative dubbed the Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program.
[00:20:43] So are you saying you don't support that? You have a problem? Hold on. You've got to get a successful, fraudulent conviction to collect your money. The program aims to complement ongoing efforts by Vice President J.D. Vance to stop and get to the bottom of fraud. No, I think it's a fantastic program. That's why I said I want to end on defending President Trump's program here.
[00:21:06] The first reward ceremony will give $10,000 presentation to Nick Shirley, Sheriff. I think it's phenomenal. I don't know why Nick's only getting $10,000. I think he should get $50,000 for the incredible work that he's done. I support this program 1,000%. Good for J.D. Vance and good for Trump. And let's get to the bottom of fraud, sir. Absolutely. And I totally support this as well. I think they should raise it up a little bit more. Nick Shirley should get $10,000 per case.
[00:21:35] And he would make quite a call. But yeah, absolutely. Get people engaged in this. Get people involved. I support the program 1,000%. My only question for President Trump is, how can I help the cause? What do you want me to do, sir? How can I promote it? How can I bring these fraud cases to the table as a newsman? What can I do to help, sir? Yeah, I'm with you on that totally. And I'm glad Trump's brought this to the forefront. J.D. Vance is getting the credit for it.
[00:22:01] Now, I think Trump's been alongside, but I think they're trying to give this to J.D. Vance. It's kind of a little bit of a handoff, Sheriff. It was J.D. Vance's assignment. And it was a good one. And Trump did a good job picking him. And J.D. isn't like Kamala. She took the assignment of being the border czar. But she didn't do anything about it. She didn't do anything. She actually, in my opinion, opened the border even more by her silence, by her unwillingness to do anything to stop it. She did, no question.
[00:22:32] But now she's an expert on it. I think we need to put way more than $25 million into this. Not that I want to spend really a lot of money, but think of every dollar that we spend on this, we decrease probably what percentage or how many dollars. I don't know the number, but it's massive. We're talking about giving away millions to save billions, right, Sheriff? Well, even if they made it a commission basis, it would be probably more. Whatever, sure. The billions and billions that have been committed. Anyway, the nuances aren't important. The point is we want to stop fraud in government. We've been talking about it forever, and at least somebody's trying to do something about it,
[00:23:02] and they deserve credit. Yeah, and CNN, I saw them analyzing the investigation on Ilhan Omar. Oh, no, you should be doing this right at election time. So you can't go after criminal politicians if it's close to election time. That's literally what CNN said. The problem is since elections running for office starts the second, the last election's over, then it would always be that way, Sheriff. Yeah, I mean. Because they're talking about him running for president right now, right? Of course.
[00:23:33] And this is CNN just, you know, every now and again, I'll watch them a little bit just to see what they're doing. And it is so counterproductive to what the founding fathers intended with. Well, what we need is the administration. What we need is the administration, Sheriff, to start doing interviews with us and not with the CNN companies or people like that around the world. They need to stand tall with good, honest conservatives that will back them.
[00:23:59] We'll see how the mainstream press treats this J.D. Vance crackdown on fraud agenda. But I'm telling you, I'm 1,000% in. We've got a lot of cool stuff. If you stay for the webinar, you're going to hear about Social Security changes that we praise Trump for as well. We'll talk about that coming up. We've got a lot to cover, folks. And if you're a CSPOA member, you get the rest of the story. How's that? Thanks for being alongside for the ride to the rest of you. We appreciate you.
