[00:00:04] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West. You are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. Happy to have you along, my fellow Americans. It's broken promises left and right. That's the problem we're facing, ladies and gentlemen. Lou Moore with me, a well-known leader in politics, been so for a long time, and dear friend, does a broadcast called The Hour of Decision right here on LibertyNewsRadio.com.
[00:00:33] Spread the word, check it out every weekend and on demand anytime you like at his incredible website, LouMoore.com. Lou, welcome back, sir. Thank you. All right, let's talk about immigration for a second because I think that's one of the big things. I mean, we talked about the border, and no doubt Donald Trump gets credit. He has slowed down the surge at the border, reduced it to a trickle, which is really good. But he hasn't removed people like we thought.
[00:00:59] You know, we had the Florida Everglades kind of a thing, and we had all this stuff, but none of it really turned out to be what we thought, right? And so that's the problem. New federal data details where 4.5 million migrants released after the southern border crossings. Where do they go? Federal records obtained by the Associated Press? I guess they got released into the United States, folks.
[00:01:29] After encounters at the border, where do they go? The records show destinations that show zip codes, nationalities, ages, other demographic information. Spreading well beyond traditional immigrant destinations. So they were going to Chicago, New York, L.A., you know, that kind of stuff. But now they're going everywhere.
[00:01:57] And that's kind of the big, big problem is that we're starting to see more and more and more illegals in our area. Now, ICE arrests hit nearly 51,000 in August. That sounds great, right? But deportations don't keep pace. ICE arrests were big time. The third consecutive monthly record of high arrests, according to Reuters. But deportations have only remained around 1,000.
[00:02:26] Maybe 1,200 per day, that kind of stuff. Lack of final removal orders. Transportation capacities, resistance from everybody along the way. It's tanking this immigration deal. Now, look, if we're doing 1,200 a day, folks, and I don't think 1,200 a day is really a solid number because you're not going to do 1,200 on Christmas, are you?
[00:02:51] But 1,200 a day times 365, even if you got that done, it's only 438,000, only a half a million. Well, if we really have, as they said, you know, hey, 30 million illegals, that'll take like 60 years if nobody else comes in, Lou Moore. That's a fact, Sam.
[00:03:13] And, you know, one thing we've seen in this version of a Trump administration that we didn't see the first time, you know, we criticize Biden for rigging numbers, like rigging the unemployment numbers. And then they have to revise them and all that. Well, Trump, last year, they made a decision to include, which they had not done before, they include people they turn around at the border in the deportation numbers, which is dishonest, to say the least.
[00:03:41] Because when I say we're talking about mass deportations here, we think this is interior, what the Border Patrol calls interior enforcement. But no, a lot of that number is made up of people they've turned around at the border. And we're not saying it's not good that they've done that. That's good. But it's only a tiny slice of what we've been promised is the point, right? Absolutely.
[00:04:05] And, you know, people, Susie Wiles, all these business lobbyists, they got to Trump's chief of staff. They did a rigged poll for Trump at the end of last year saying that mass deportations were going to be terrible for the midterms. It was just the opposite.
[00:04:22] There's a ton of polling data showing that working class Hispanics in the southern areas there in Texas, Rio Grande Valley is what I was trying to say, have left the Trump team because he's not fulfilling his promise to have mass deportations because these are the immediate people affected in the job market by this illegal immigration.
[00:04:47] There was huge support among Hispanics for Trump's policy that he laid out in 2024. And this is why he got such a large percentage of them, one of the reasons, to vote for him. But now they've left him. And this is one of the reasons they're leaving, according to polling data, polling interviews that I've seen. Now, this is sad because it's not all Trump's fault. We can't blame it on Trump. Congress has been derelict in their duty. They've been on vacation most of the time.
[00:05:14] They said it was going to be the greatest congressional advancement of our goals ever, a reduce in spending, et cetera, et cetera. They've virtually done none of it. They promised the moon and the stars to Donald Trump. And then behind the scenes, they've done nothing but slow walked and absolutely betrayed the president, in my humble opinion. That's Republicans in Congress have done this, House and Senate. But listen to this, because judges are out of control, too. And what Donald needs to do is impeach a judge or two and set a standard here. You can't do that. But here's what's going on.
[00:05:44] Federal judge blocks immigration fines reaching $1.8 million. A federal judge in Boston ruled that the Trump administration, quote, unlawfully imposed civil penalties on migrants who remained in the country after final deportation orders. So, hey, we just defy the deportation. Stay here. Donald wants to impose a penalty on them. Courts say no.
[00:06:12] Homeland Security previously reported issuing more than $100,000 fines totaling $84 million. But the judge, quote, halted the challenge and said, hey, you could write the plaintiffs in insolvency. So we're saying, hey, you can't bankrupt the immigrants. They can justify the order and stay here. There's nothing you can do about it, president. Now, see, judges need to be impeached over that, in my opinion.
[00:06:39] But if no one's going to take action like Congress to impeach judges or something, you know, what do we do? Every time they just shut down Trump because they have Trump derangement syndrome and they just hate him. And anything he tries to do that even has a semblance of value to we the people gets absolutely blasted out of the water. Lou? Yeah, well, the judges are a big problem. Of course, unfortunately, some of the judges that have been a problem have been Trump appointees, which is an unfortunate addition to what you just said.
[00:07:07] But, yeah, I mean, there was a fellow I was listening to a couple of days ago. I didn't check his math on this, but he said a third of the federal bench in Washington, D.C. are people that weren't even born in this country. And some of them are dual citizens of countries like Jamaica, Trinidad, dual citizens. They're not even all in for America.
[00:07:30] And they're sitting up there with the black robes and this humongous, obscene power that these judges have where they can make a ruling and affects the whole United States until, you know, until it is kicked up farther up the line in the federal system. But, Sam, impeachments, we need a couple of impeachments. We need to target some of these judges who I think are breaking the law, which means the DOJ could get into the picture.
[00:07:56] And we certainly need a different Congress and not the Congress that the Republicans would be reelecting this year. I can tell you that. And you're totally right about them. And not the Congress that the Democrats would be electing this year either. So I don't think we have a choice either way. We're going to get tweedled, eat, tweedled, um. We're not going to see a real solution, Lou. No, no. And, Sam, you're totally right about that as well. And, uh, no. And it's going to be worse under the Democrats. I have no illusions about that.
[00:08:25] Uh, it is going to be horrid when they get the gavels on all these committees. And, you know, the Democrats have played this election, Sam, so smart. They were so hysterical about Trump in the past. People just kind of saw through that. That's what they call the Trump derangement syndrome. But these candidates, most of them have been very disciplined, these senatorial and congressional candidates. And they're talking about the things we were talking about. People can't make a car payment.
[00:08:55] They're talking about the price of diesel, the price of gas, talking about the home prices and things like this. And they're not genuine in their statements because, you know, they would be some of the greatest cause of this. Totally not. Because they know they have Trump against the wall over it, right? Right. Absolutely. But they played it smart. And the other thing is, is the conservative media marches all these Democrat socialists for America and these foreigners that are running for Senate and Congress and all this.
[00:09:21] Like, they're a typical Democrat candidate to cycle. But most of the Democrat candidates I hear about are veterans, are military, have solid backgrounds. I mean, they've played this very smart. I have no illusions about what the Democrats want to bring us. I mean, they have been the primary Fabian Socialist Party in this country since Woodrow Wilson. But they're playing it smart. And this is why they're going to get back in, in my opinion. And no, it will be horrid when they get when they get back in.
[00:09:50] So Trump's right about that. The problem is he doesn't have a realistic remedy. Now, check this out. Legal fight erupts over Trump's legal prosecutions of immigrants. Non-citizens accused of illegally voting in U.S. elections are now challenging. The administration's authority to prosecute them.
[00:10:15] Opening another court battle about Trump's whole, you know, trying to stop illegals from voting plan. And this is a big thing, too, because it's not like it's just a plan. We're a day late and a dollar short. We're now in legal battles over it. Congress did nothing this whole time. Trump's basically left to hang on his own is the problem, ladies and gentlemen. We're going to take a quick break. We're going to come back with Lou Moore, folks. Author of Forerunner, The Unlikely Role of Ron Paul.
[00:10:44] Also, Hour of Decision available at LibertyNewsRadio.com and LouMoore.com. We're going to talk about Trump talking to farmers. Big old handout from Donald. [00:12:36] Check out his award-winning broadcast Hour of Decision on Saturdays and Sundays on the broadcast on libertynewsradio.com. All right, now this is an interesting twist that I want to move to because Trump announces $8 billion, billion with a B, in farm payments to offset rising fuel costs. President Trump announced the program on Monday at a Kansas rally.
[00:13:03] The Agriculture Department subsequently confirmed plans for one-time payments administered through its farm agency. The department said payments would use a uniform formula to cover a portion of farmers' losses during the 2026 crop year. This is disaster. He's just pulling a Democrat move and just giving handouts because he's choked the industry.
[00:13:31] One, the diesel is a big problem, fuel costs. But in addition, though, he's basically, you know, said we're going to bring in Russian diesel. Secondly, he's bringing in beef from other countries. Two, dumping massive amounts of beef on the markets, making, or I should say adding insult to injury, Lou Moore. Well, totally. And there's a number of things, a number of tangents we could take from just what you put on the table there, Sam.
[00:13:56] But the first one I thought of is he didn't just promise farmers this money you're referring to now. He promised every American $5,000 if the Republicans win the midterms. I mean, this is naked vote buying. I mean, this would make any good Democrat proud, let me tell you. A lot of them wouldn't have the hutspah to even do this kind of a thing.
[00:14:26] He's doing it, and even when he gets challenged on it, he doubles and triples down is the problem. But look, he can't even promise to do this, though. Congress won't do it. They're on recess all the time. They're not going to vote to give $5,000 to everybody and blow the debt up past, way past $40 trillion with no end in sight. They're just not going to do it, are they? No, I don't know. I mean, I don't know exactly what they would do if it came to that. If they actually held the House and the Senate, there'd be so much euphoria.
[00:14:56] Maybe they would do it. I don't know. But, you know, as my old boss, Jack Metcalf, used to say, and he was saying this in the 90s, we don't have money. We only have debt. And that is certainly a fact right now. I mean, you cannot be handing out. The money you're handing out is on the backs of your grandchildren. It's unconscionable. I mean, you know, we needed those.
[00:15:19] We needed that $1 to $2 trillion cuts, yet one more betrayal from the Trump administration. We really needed those people cuts to save this country. We needed doge big time, and we also needed Congress to set the standard of cost-cutting and reduce spending. And they virtually just did the opposite. The big, beautiful bill can be touted by Trump as a win, but it just showed that we're not going to give up.
[00:15:45] Now, Ron Paul just released an article begging we, the people in Congress, to, hey, let's not kick the can down the road and do these continuing resolutions with our backs against the wall. That's coming up before Christmastime even, right? Yeah, it's coming up again. But, yeah, I mean, all they do. They've got that, dude, aren't they? Yeah, all they do, Sam.
[00:16:04] If you remember when McCarthy, when he was the speaker and he made that deal with the Democrats that locked in the Democrat numbers from the COVID period of time where they increased the budget by almost 40 percent. When he locked those numbers in, they said, well, just in another year, we'll be able to unwind all this and we'll be able to start saving all this money. They just lie, Sam. They kick everything difficult down the road and they lie their heads off. That's what happens in Congress today.
[00:16:35] And I wish Trump would call him out for it, but he really hasn't as far as I can tell. Next headline says Trump orders new NIH, that's National Institutes of Health Division, and it's a White House task force for women's health. So he's announcing a new government program or a new government agency, if you will. Trump signed the executive order, so it's not even congressionally approved.
[00:17:02] Alongside First Lady Melania Trump, it calls for, quote, expanded research into maternal health, infertility, menopause, heart disease and other conditions affecting women. Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., they say will lead the task force. The order specifies no funding target.
[00:17:31] It's just an initiative here. So it's like, hey, Congress, when you pass your next bills, please fund this. I'll get it started and everything else. Why are we creating more government? Lou, right now, are you kidding me? Donald needs to abolish something in government if he wants MAGA or anybody else credible to come back to him, doesn't he? Well, yes. But it's an election season, and they're desperate, Sam. They're losing the women.
[00:17:59] They're losing all these various demographic groups in large numbers. You know, farmers in the Midwest and all the people in the farm economy. That's a disaster. And that's why we will probably lose the Senate seat in Iowa. We will lose the governorship in Iowa. We will lose the Senate seat in Ohio. We may lose the governor's race in Ohio. And, you know, it's terrible.
[00:18:24] Kansas, that's why he's in Kansas trying to do damage control, saving the senator there. That has run a terrible campaign. It is being outspent now by a guy who claims he's an independent because the Democrats are pulling every trick they know. And, you know, the Republicans are in bad shape in farm country. Hopefully we can get Lou Moore back with us. Are you there still, Lou? Shoot, all right, we'll get Lou back.
[00:18:54] All I'm telling you, though, is that at Lou's right, we're in serious trouble. And I know what Newt Gingrich said.
[00:19:30] DOP abortion action amid election concerns. Do you have me, Liz?
[00:20:53] Debates about abortion. But at the end of the day, folks, at the end of the day, you've got Republicans slow walking, protecting pro-life views. And they're doing it because of the elections. Are you with us, Lou? I'm back. What do you say to that, Sam? I missed a little bit of that. I didn't hear all of it, Sam. Well, I just know that the Republicans are slow walking abortion action because of the midterms. And pro-life leaders are absolutely livid. Well, that's not the first time that's happened, by the way, historically.
[00:21:24] That's right. You know, it's panic. There's basically panic in the White House. And they're running every different direction, back and forth, trying to salvage a sinking ship. And, you know, and the long-term damage that this is likely to do with the pro-life movement. Not going to be worth it for this coalition. But anyway, there you go. Where are we going to be sitting in 2028 then?
[00:21:52] Because if we take such a slacking, is it going to bode well for 28 for us? Are we going to be able to pull it out 16, 18, 19 months later like the Democrats did and turn it around so substantively? Are we going to be able to do that or are we going to be on the ropes in 28 as well? I think it's going to depend on the crop of candidates and particularly the candidates for president. That's going to be important. But, you know, it can go either way, Sam. Who do we have? Rubio and J.D. Vance?
[00:22:21] Both of them basically have been war hawks with Donald? Well, J.D. Vance, I think you can argue, has not been as the war hawk that Rubio has been. I'm not on the Vance team. Don't misunderstand me, but I think we got to be a little bit fair to him. Most reported just shown that he discouraged Trump. He tried to pull off, pull back off the ledge, at least with this Iran war, and was unsuccessful.
[00:22:45] But he is, you know, up to his eyeballs with Palantir and too many of the tech bros. I mean, I got some real questions about Vance as well. So I'm not. What if he resigned over it and said, I can't be part of a war presidency and he resigns? Then what? Yeah, well, I don't know what would happen. I think, you know, the standard politics 101 is he wants to keep as much of the MAGA coalition with him as he tries to build a larger coalition.
[00:23:12] Now we'll have to be a larger coalition to win in 28. But, you know, it's early. And this is a volatile environment, Sam. I think anything could happen. I mean, I think it's even possible a guy named Thomas Massey could be behind a larger third-party type of thrust with people like MTG, Tucker Carlson, Joe Kett. And there's a bunch of them now. A bunch of individuals. I would actually like to see that, Lou. I'll bet you would. And I'm right there with you. But I don't know if that's the right political move.
[00:23:42] I mean, personally, I would love that. I would be in love with that idea. But anyway, we'll have to see. I mean, it's a very complex and fluid environment. Ladies and gentlemen, we're going to keep an eye on this ball. And this is just a precursor to what we're going to be doing on November the 3rd, Tuesday night, 7 to midnight Eastern, 5 to 10 Mountain.
[00:24:07] We're going to have me and Lou and a ton of other newsmakers breaking down the elections as they unfold. And then predicting what's going on in 28 and beyond. By the way, if the vice president resigned, the 25th Amendment provides the replacement process. Go read it. The president nominates a new vice president. Both the House and Senate must approve the nominee by a simple majority vote.
[00:24:34] Once confirmed, the replacement takes office. Until then, the vice president remains vacant. There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. I'm Sam Bushman for Lou Moore. God save our constitutional republic.
