Sam Bushman hosts election day coverage with James Edwards of thepoliticalcesspool.org and Lew Moore of securevote.news. Sam declares he's not voting because parties are criminal, while early voting data shows apocalyptic swings against Republicans in Louisiana, North Carolina, and Florida. Lew breaks down how 20% of Trump voters are defecting or staying home over the war and the economy; James declares today marks the end of MAGA as a political movement, and betting odds give Democrats a 76% chance of taking the Senate. They trace the GOP's collapse from total dominance to near-wipeout in under two years, discuss whether it was intentional destruction, Lew argues the Israel lobby was the greatest beneficiary of MAGA's downfall, and they break down third-party dark money threatening to sink Republican races nationwide.

[00:00:04] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West, you are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show.
[00:00:14] Happy to have you along my fellow Americans, Sam Bushman with hard-hitting election coverage. The polls are open ladies and gentlemen.
[00:00:47] Ron Paul has the best quote of the day or the night, whatever you want to call it. Republicans deserve to lose, but Democrats do not deserve to win. That's right. Republicans deserve to lose, but Democrats don't deserve to win. Amen to that reality check. Folks, listen. Americans are going to the polls. They're voting with control of Congress at stake.
[00:01:13] This is an historic election, to say the least. Americans are voting today. That is November 3rd, the first Tuesday of the month, designated. Midterm elections, all 435 House seats are at stake. 35 Senate seats and 36 governorships. Wow, it's going to be a barn burner. That's for sure. This is the most expensive midterms on record ever.
[00:01:38] $12 billion, ladies and gentlemen. The congressional results will determine which party controls the House and Senate for Trump's last two years in office, unless he changes the Constitution or violates it or something. And Republicans currently control both chambers. What each party needs, folks, obviously they need a bunch of votes.
[00:02:05] But there's governorships in play as well. And I'm telling you, the state of the nation will be affected one way or the other. And here's the real question that I want you to ponder during the show today. Can Christianity and communism coexist? I think not. Welcome to the show. James Edwards is with me. Well-known political talk show host, ThePoliticalSesspool.org.
[00:02:33] Every Saturday night or when your heart desires at ThePoliticalCesspool.org. Award-winning talk radio from James Edwards. Also, our guest, Lou Moore, former congressional chief of staff, author. He currently hosts Hour of Decision right here on Liberty News Radio on the weekends. Mr. Moore is the author of Forerunner, the unlikely role of Ron Paul.
[00:02:57] After becoming a full-time Utah resident, he's head of the SecureVote.News, SecureVote.News. That's SecureVote.News. Check it out. James, welcome. Sam, it is so great to be here. When you have a guy like Lou Moore on, there doesn't need to be a very long exchange of pleasantries. There's so much to get to, so many numbers. It's happening today. I'm going to vote as soon as we're clear.
[00:03:22] I'll let you know how I voted when we get back together tonight for the big election roundtable ensemble program. But yeah, let's just dive right into it. How do you want to start, Sam? Lou, welcome, sir. Thank you. Thanks for having me. I want to start out by saying I'm not going to vote, James. A lot of people are saying that. I've been hearing it a lot on my program. And I know people say, Sam, you're derelict in your duty. And Sam, how dare you? And Sam, what a shame. It's a sacred responsibility. And my response is, I can't vote for people that are a member of parties because parties are criminal.
[00:03:53] Well, that's one way to look at it. And of course, I might not disagree with the old saying, we're not going to vote our way out of this. You can't vote hard enough to fix all the problems we've got here. But at the same time, who gets elected are going to have a very real impact on our futures. And Lou, I'm looking at it right now. And you know, I was down in Corinth, Mississippi. We talked about it the last time I was on Sam's show last week.
[00:04:21] And if you're stumping down there, something just doesn't feel right. And then I'm looking at these numbers, Lou. And it just looks absolutely apocalyptic for the GOP. Michigan, Abdul Ed Saeed, according to Siena and New York Times, plus 11. Tallarico, you know, we've always, when's Texas going to turn blue? Tallarico, plus seven over Paxton, according to the New York Times poll. Maine, that's a flip. Ohio. Hold on. Do you believe that, though?
[00:04:49] Do you believe that he's really up seven on Paxton? I'll let the professional answer that one. Lou? I don't know if he's up seven, but I'm going to tell you right now, the early voting statistics are terrible for the GOP. And more importantly than that, the GOP is getting out their best voters in this early voting, where the Democrats are banking low propensity voters, which is the name of the game in an off-year election.
[00:05:16] It's to get those low prop voters to the polls in what is a lower turnout election. So looking at the fundamentals, as well as a whole bunch of different polls, I think Paxton is definitely behind in Texas, and I don't know if he can make it up on game day. I don't think there's enough more stuff out there. I got some stark numbers for you both, gentlemen. Lou, you're talking about early voting turnout. So here is what we know based upon how you registered, which party you registered with.
[00:05:44] I mean, they can at least know that when you go in and vote. Just a couple of examples. Louisiana, the early vote totals were plus 84,000 for the GOP in 2024. Two years later, plus 15,000 for the Democrats. In North Carolina, you've got a jaw-dropping swing. Early voting in North Carolina in 2024 was plus 41,000 for the GOP, plus 343,000 for the Democrats. This is a southern state. Oh, this is brutal.
[00:06:12] And then Florida, plus 844,000 for the Republicans in 2024, plus 155,000 for the Republicans this year. So maybe Florida holds. I am interested in that Byron Donald's race and a few others. Well, keep an eye on that. Before you go with your numbers, though, I want to drill in, Lou. Do you think this is just because the GOP is not showing up, or do you think it's that the Democrats are showing up in droves in a midterm, or is it both? I think it's both.
[00:06:41] The intensity, all the measurements that pollsters use of intensity all go to the side of the Democrats. You're essentially, Sam, in an environment where a lot of Republicans feel betrayed. They feel betrayed because, I mean, there's a lot of things Trump has done that many of us have not liked, but the war is over the top. The war was a total betrayal, and the war has caused a terrible economic climate, and that is a toxic combination.
[00:07:11] And that's the environment we're in, and we're seeing it play out. We're seeing it play out with the low-propensity Democrats showing up, according to pollsters. We don't have firm statistics on that yet, but it seems pretty obvious that they're way ahead on the early voting situation. And there is, pollsters are showing as high as 20% defections of people who voted for Trump, who were going to vote for at least one Democrat among the members of Congress and governors.
[00:07:40] And nor not vote at all. Yeah, and then there's the not vote at all, which is, yes. And probably that is the biggest problem the GOP faces right now. Do you have more stats right now, James? I do. Well, this is something, you know, I text Lou pretty often so I can sound like I know what I'm talking about on Saturday nights. Come on now. But Lou had sent me this. You'll recall this. This is a screenshot from Lou's at-home television, I believe. And it's from one of his favorite pollsters, Rich Barris.
[00:08:10] And the question is why? Why has it swung so wildly from a pretty comfortable Republican route in the 2024 presidential elections to a complete wipeout? It would appear just two years later in the midterms. Wipeout. I do. Yes, that's from the era of music I like. But, Lou, it was, you know, generally broken promises Trump didn't deliver was at the top of the list that you cited for me.
[00:08:37] But then it was sort of two parallel issues, the war and affordability and the economy and cost of living. Those were the two, the top three issues why people are defecting. And it really is. I mean, you probably saw this clip of this, you know, attractive young lady that was at a J.D. Vance town hall a few days ago just last week. And she said, you know, I want to get married. I want to stay at home. I want to have kids.
[00:09:05] But, you know, there's no prospect for us being able to buy a home. What are you going to what's the GOP? What's the what's your party going to do to help people like me out? And he went into this joke about John Huston's, you know, rear end. And it just it's just it really is. It really does appear to be it's turning out to be a clown show. I don't know if Donald Trump has lost his step. I don't know if he's too old. I don't know if it's self destruction. I'm not sure what's going on. But Ron Paul in this column, I mentioned Republicans deserve to lose.
[00:09:34] But Democrats do not deserve to win highlights the same thing. It's the economy in the war. That's why they deserve to lose. Democrats author or offer, I should say, an unacceptable alternative. Expanded welfare programs, single payer health care, higher taxes, continued support for military aid.
[00:09:56] It also criticizes both progressive monetary policies and Trump's press preference for interest rate cuts. Neither party offers a sound path forward. Neither advocate for liberty, limited constitutional government. Neither advocate for sound money or any appropriate constitutional foreign policy. So Ron Paul basically says, look, no one has got the answers. They're both clown shows.
[00:10:26] They're both, you know, I mean, Trump's trying to send $5,000 to everybody. That's a typical socialist move. Donald Trump's now trying to fight with the ballots in California. A lost effort because the judges are all shutting him down. But yet at the same time, it is true. States have authority for elections. The president certainly doesn't. Illegal voting should have been dealt with years ago. Not just. And so now the judges are saying, well, you're trying to change ballots too close to the election. So we won't let you do it.
[00:10:53] Even though your cause is just, we can we can do nothing for you. Kind of an idea. And it just goes on and on, Lou. And the problem is there's just no path forward. And that's the reason that I started out saying I'm not voting. There's no one for me to vote for, Lou. Yeah, well, our ballots look pretty similar, Sam. And I got to say there isn't much to vote for, in my opinion, on the Utah ballot, if that's any indication. And we know, unfortunately, that it is.
[00:11:19] You know, Harry Truman ran in 1948 and had a stunning upset running against a do-nothing Congress. I want you to tell me right now, gentlemen, what has the Republican Congress done in the last two years? I mean, the average. The reason to oblivion with big, beautiful bill is about all, sir. That's it. They voted for our expense. Totally. They voted for that pork wagon. And there isn't much else on the record. I mean, for crying out loud.
[00:11:45] And they dismiss the Congress early to avoid having to take another Epstein vote, which is another betrayal. Which was the first betrayal that pollsters like Mark Mitchell and Rich Barris identified through detailed interviews that they did last year, even before the war came up. Epstein was a big issue to a lot of people and promises were made and promises were not kept. Well, I got to say, because you got to wonder what's happening with the Jeffrey Epstein cartel now.
[00:12:14] I mean, you know, even if he is dead, whether he's dead or not, that's a debate even of itself. But let's say he is dead. How he died is a question. But then look when a cartel leader, whether it's a sex cartel, a drug cartel, whatever, when the big kingpin of a gang or a thugocracy leaves, there's always somebody that fills the vacuum. So I'm convinced his organization is alive and well. While Ghislaine, based on Trump, got moved to a I mean, she's at basically girls camp right now.
[00:12:43] She's a special privilege. It's a it's a clown show. We're all being played. I submit the gang leaders just a new a new person. The new boss is the old boss. Well, that's that's totally true, Sam. But I will point out to you that through Thomas Massey's efforts and through Marjorie Taylor Greene's efforts and others, we saw in Jeffrey Epstein's emails that he represented himself to a number of people as as the representative of the Rothschild family.
[00:13:12] I don't think they've gone anywhere, Sam. Well, that reality. And that brings up, as you point out, the other betrayal, the betrayal of kicking out Thomas Massey and Greene. I mean, those are some of the best people we had, James. Sam, you walked right into something I wanted to say. And that is that this is today, gentlemen, if you really think about it, today is the end of MAGA as a political movement. I mean, we've been here for 10 years, 10 plus years.
[00:13:42] This really is the end of it being a political force in national politics. And the reason for that is, of course, the Republicans are going to get wiped out. It does look like. But Trump did not leave any sort of an ideological bench. The people who actually believed in what he was campaigning on, he all primated and removed them, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massey and others. And I say, you know, we come back to polls like crack addicts. You know, we always say, well, we don't believe in polls. These polls aren't true. But, you know, we always go back and say.
[00:14:12] Hold on. Lou's quoting different polls than the mainstream ones that you normally see. And I think these polls are a lot more accurate than the other ones, though. Well, I've got one here, too, for Lou. Now, I was going to say, if they're all wrong about this, I swear to you, I will never cite another poll for as long as I live. But the election betting odds by John Stossel. Now, this is supposed to be even more accurate than the most accurate polls. Yeah, because it's based on the gamblers who actually, you know, do a lot of research and have a pretty good track record, sad to say.
[00:14:42] Well, you know, what I'm about to tell you from him is pretty stark. And these are the latest numbers as of as of 30 minutes before we went on the air today, this morning. Lou, you were I mean, you've been such a regular guest on TPC in the run up to the midterms. And I believe about a month ago, I mean, we were pretty much hovering at the conventional wisdom was that the GOP was going to lose the House. But they would probably hang on to the Senate. That was where things conventional thinking was about a month ago, at least in some quarters.
[00:15:10] Well, now Stossel is saying as of this morning, chance of Democratic control of the Senate, seventy six point two percent and not just a little bit. It's looking like they're going to they're going to go up about four seats is what he's predicting right now. I think it's what 30 of 50, three to 46, something like that. So, I mean, that's a huge switch. No, absolutely. It is. Well, according to Cook right now, there are 11 toss up or competitive Senate seats, 11.
[00:15:40] And that's why when you talk about the environment is very important because that's the wind either in your face or at your back. And the wind is in the face of the Republicans right now. And it's all it's all a salad for the Democrats, as far as I can see any race where it could break one way. Yeah, it's word salad in many cases. Well, that's also true. That's also true. That's also true. But but anyway. So no, no, I mean, it's going to be a little bit hard to predict.
[00:16:05] To be fair, a lot of these House races are toss ups, but they're toss ups because a district that was R10 or R14 or R16 is now competitive or they may possibly lose. The Democrats are moving 14, 16, 18 points and a lot of congressional districts. Now, they're going to fall short in some of these. They may move 18 points when they needed to move 20.
[00:16:32] But the Republicans are going to lose a lot of House seats. And I don't think there's any way with 11 races as close as they are with the Senate with the new data. You know, we're talking about Tallarico and Paxton in Texas in particular, Kansas. I mean, it doesn't look good. And Alaska terrible. I know they got this. They whipped up this scandal at the last minute. But, you know, Trump is up in Alaska, guys. Come on. And James mentioned Mississippi for God's sake.
[00:17:02] But anyway. So let me ask you this, Lou, because I don't really I don't really understand it. And let me just lay this out and get your take, Lou. And then James, you know, it wasn't even two years ago where the Democrats were on the ropes so bad to where they're like, hey, the Republicans might have control of this for literally the next 10, 20. People were even saying 20 years.
[00:17:28] I mean, it's a it's a massive, you know, and they were so on the ropes that I mean, they couldn't even mount any possible way that they could even be relevant at that point. It was such a trounce, such a smack down, such a revolution. Pardon the words. But there you go. OK. And now, not even two years later, it is 100 percent the opposite. Almost. This is it. Now, that might be an overstatement, but it's that drastic.
[00:17:53] And the question becomes, how does that happen if it's not intentional destruction, Lou? Well, I don't know if it's intentional destruction, but Trump has done one heck of a job personally dismantling his own political base. What politician does that? Yeah, but see, I think you do that intentionally, though. Look, it cannot be by accident.
[00:18:16] If one or two things happen where you blow it and make a mistake or, you know, you call people deplorables or you do, you know, stupid thing here or there or talk about a woman's derriere and public and stuff like that. Talk about a man's. And a man's, too. I mean, it's just insane. OK, I get those gaffes, whatever you want to call them. This has been, though, literally.
[00:18:39] Item after item, topic after topic, literally destroying everything that you ran out, everything you I don't I don't believe it can be by accident. Well, you know, I once in a while fluke, James, it's possible. You know, a lot of it does go into just his ego. And it was one of the things it's interesting.
[00:19:00] It's it was one of the things that propelled him to the presidency because he just was so cocksure and so narcissistic that he never got down by anything negative. If he never tried to conform, he just blowed through it. And he had these beefs with the media and it was so endearing in the beginning. But then that same sort of I don't know if it's a defect or just the same personality trait caused him to turn against his own people when they went against him. You know, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Massey and others. I don't think they went against him.
[00:19:29] Hold on. I don't think they went against him. I think they held true to MAGA and to what was promised. He went against them. That's what I'm saying is that. Well, but I don't know that you can destruct that fast unless it's intentional or calculated, maybe not by him, but by someone. We'd have to get the psychiatrist happens by accident in politics, Lou. Well, I'll tell you right now, if you're going to finger somebody and I think it's kind of a it's a difficult game to get in somebody's head, anybody's head like that.
[00:19:57] But, you know, looking at outside forces without any doubt, the Israel lobby organized Jewry in America. The Zionist movement was the greatest beneficiary of the destruction of the MAGA coalition because the MAGA coalition was a bulwark against any more Mideast wars. The MAGA coalition was a bulwark against globalism, which is tied at the hip to Zionism.
[00:20:22] When you have people like Larry Fink, who have a foot in both camps, who's the head of the World Economic Forum now. And, you know, what what could have been a more beautiful op than to force Trump into a war that also brought down his economy, also took his eye off the ball with immigration.
[00:20:39] And then other ancillary problems like Thomas Massey and a four to five to eight to nine percent slice of Ron Paul libertarian type of voters that were part of the MAGA coalition. And a lot of them are gone in Texas right now. Gentlemen, the last numbers I saw, the libertarian is at five percent. Ken Paxton can't lose five percent to this Tallarico, not this cycle. Well, and there's what there's another very interesting.
[00:21:09] Maybe we have a minute or two after the break. I want to talk about a couple of races that are very interesting to me and get loose take on that. But there's an independent running for governor of Tennessee, David Hatley, that I think is going to do some damage to the extent that we haven't. Well, and now there's third party. I've never seen this before. Lou, there's third party dark money now designed to really attack the Republicans at this point, too.
[00:21:31] And they say there's a big, huge spend by dark money on the third party tickets in an effort because they know they quite can't win unless they can chop off a chunk of it with third party folks. That's why I'm not voting, because even a third party at this point isn't even helpful. Lou? Well, I would question how helpful third parties are if you're trying to achieve power. Third parties send messages pretty effectively at times.
[00:21:55] And I think that's, you know, that's a message I get when in Texas and in other key states where the libertarians are polling so high. Usually what happens is early on, a lot of disaffected people will say, what the heck with it? I'm going to vote for the Constitution Party this time. I'm going to tell the Republicans what I think. But as they get closer to Election Day and all the propaganda intensifies from all of the lapdog media and everything, they usually come back home and you get down to one or two percent. Yeah, because they make people afraid.
[00:22:26] He's still at five percent. And what they say is this is the most important election in history. You've got to. Hey, I got a I laughed, Lou and Sam. I got from Brent Taylor, who's running for Congress, one of the new redistricted seats here that is, you know, now been made available. And the guy named Brent Taylor, he's been in the Tennessee legislature for a while, but he's running for Congress now. This is his big shot. And I got a big eight by 10 full color mailer in the mail yesterday.
[00:22:55] This is the most important election of your lifetime. They say that every single time. And, you know, that's how they make you inferior. Now, Newt Gingrich put out a report where he believes Republicans are going to do just fine. Do you want to respond to that, Lou? Well, first of all, I think I've told you before, Sam, that despite disagreements, I love new. I work for the man. I know him. His wife is an ambassador right now. That means she serves at the pleasure of Donald Trump.
[00:23:24] And I'm sure she really enjoys being an ambassador. And I'm going to be a little careful about what he says. Now, you know, I don't know what his motives are, just like anybody else. But he is going to be a little careful at minimum. And he's one of the most brilliant minds, political minds of the 20th century, in my opinion. But I just he's totally wrong here. You know, Lou, we saw this, Sam, as well. We saw this. I remember even talking to you about it, Lou.
[00:23:51] At this time in November of twenty twenty four day or two before the election, James Carville was all over the place. Like it was going to be a route for Kamala. I think they have to say this. Yeah. Amen. All right. All right. When we come back, ladies and gentlemen, we're going to focus particularly on news organizations are explaining their standards for calling midterm winners. This is kind of interesting. I want to go over that. Then we'll get into the candidates. James is keeping an eye on. Get loose. Take and more. You are watching the one and only hard hitting news that networks refuse to use.
[00:24:20] It's called Liberty Roundtable Live. And we're everywhere. Spread the word. Share the love. God save our constitutional republic.
