[00:00:14] From atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West, you are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. All right. Happy to have you along, my fellow Americans. Sam Bushman, live on your radio. Hard-hitting news the networks refuse to use, no doubt starts now. This, my fellow Americans, is the broadcast for January the 30th in the year of our Lord, 2025.
[00:00:42] This is Hour 1 of 2. The goal always to protect life, liberty, and property. To promote God, family, and country. Through so on your radio and the traditions of our founding fathers. Yes, indeed, ladies and gentlemen, we use the blueprint for liberty, the supreme law of the land, the constitution for the United States of America as our guide. We reject revolution unless it's a Jesus revolution. And we believe the checks and balances brilliantly put in place by the founding fathers, one of the peaceful restorative solutions we still have at our fingertips. Man, have we got a broadcast for you today.
[00:01:11] Brian Rust will be joining me here in a little bit. Then an Epoch Times editor, writer, journalist will be with us second hour. And man, I've got a bunch of hard-hitting news the networks refuse to use. So it all happens right now. Welcome to the show. Hope you're doing fantastic. Please spread the word and share the love. LibertyRoundtable.com, LovingLiberty.net. That's the website for the talk show and our nationally syndicated radio network. And by the way, if you check out my short videos, they're all up there, man. I've got almost 50 short videos now.
[00:01:40] We kicked off the project a couple of months ago, and man, we're rocking, baby. 50 short videos spreading the word of God, family, and country, protecting life, liberty, and property everywhere we go. The short videos are just teasers, if you will. But they clarify real issues, real topics, constitutional clarity, the whole bit. And then they point the way to our sponsors and to the long-form radio talk show. That's what you get on Liberty Roundtable Live, LovingLiberty.net.
[00:02:10] Now, at LovingLiberty.net, not only do you get Liberty Roundtable, the videos, the long-term talk show, the whole bit, but you also get around-the-clock incredible hosts. So check all that out, too. We're talking Point of View, Washington Watch, just a bunch of great shows. Even on the weekends, my show, Tech Watch Radio, we keep an eye on tech so you don't have to. We delve into all kinds of topics related to tech, so check that out as well. It's npitechguys.com, or you can check it out at LovingLiberty.net.
[00:02:40] That's npitechguys.com. That stands for Network Providers Incorporated, the sponsor of the show, npitechguys.com. It's called Tech Watch Radio. We keep an eye on tech so you don't have to. All right. This is a sad deal, man. Our prayers are with families. This is horrible. No survivors expected. In Potomac Air Crash. 27 bodies recovered.
[00:03:10] It's a tragic situation. It's a tragic situation. Donald Trump asking serious questions. Why didn't the helicopter go up, down, left, right, move somehow? I mean, it was basically a clear night. The airlines' lights were blaring. I mean, it just doesn't really make a lot of sense. And I agree with President Trump. It doesn't make a lot of sense. But I would caution. Let me just tell you about the news. I've been in the news business for a long time, my fellow Americans, my brothers and
[00:03:39] sisters, radio family. I've been in the news for a long time. And I'm telling you right now, holding your tongue sometimes is the better part of valor. And I know somebody's like, Sam, what are you talking about? You got diarrhea in the mouth. Hold your tongue. Come on. Now, listen, I'm a decent talker. And I can talk about any topic under the sun and do so with relative intelligence. But I'm telling you, sometimes it's better to hold your tongue. This was a military helicopter.
[00:04:07] This was a passenger airline of some kind. Okay, I don't know what went on. I don't know what the details are yet. But I'm telling you right now, we don't want to jump on the story too quick. You know, a lot of people are like, hey, I want to be first in the news. You'll never be first in the news all the time, people. It's not possible. There's too many stories, too big of a country, too big of a world. I'd rather be a little late to the game on a story and have my ducks in a row and be right on the story.
[00:04:34] At least, if I'm not right, have the ability to say, hey, it was the best intelligent analysis at the time. But we can't be too quick to stories. All right? So I want to step back for a second. I want to take a little bit of time to say our prayers are with the families. This is a horrible tragedy in America. Okay? I don't care if it's under President Trump's watch or anybody else's watch. Nothing partisan matters.
[00:05:00] What we got to do is step back and say who, what, when, where, why, how. When it comes to no survivors expected, that's the who. A bunch of people on a helicopter training mission, three soldiers from what I understand, and then the flight, 27 people, bodies recovered, lost life, no survivors expected. They call it a Potomac air crash. Why? Because it was in the air, but it was over the Potomac, right? I don't know what went on with the traffic controllers.
[00:05:29] It's one of the most controlled air spaces in the world. How this happened, I just don't know. And so who, what? A plane crash. Who? Well, all the survivors. There are none. So that's the who, the what. The when? Recently, right? Where? Over the Potomac. Why? We don't know. How? We don't know. So let's be a little bit kind and hold off for a second until we gain more information on this story.
[00:05:58] I know there's a lot of people posting about it right now. This and that and that and the other. But be careful. Speculation can go wild. And I don't know what happened. I just don't know. But I know this. Our prayers are with everybody involved. That's for sure. And our prayers are that we get to the bottom of it and get accountability. Because every one of these crashes makes people hesitant to fly. With good reason, right? Every time you hear, oh my gosh, plane got blown out of the sky over Scotland or whatever. This happened. That happened.
[00:06:28] You've got to wonder, is there more to the story than meets the eye? There may be. But we've got to be careful. When we go into conspiracy land, let's not just have a pure conspiracy conjecture. Let's at least say, hey, you can disagree with our viewpoints. When we lack data, sometimes we fill in the blanks. But we do so with intelligence, not just random babbles. Okay? Something's probably wrong here. But I don't know what, and I don't know how, and I don't know enough details.
[00:06:58] Anyway, I don't want to go on about this forever. But I do want people to be really careful. And I do want us to take a little bit of time to have some prayers for the family. That's upi.com with the story, United Press International. Anyway, there you have that. Second story, Charlie Kirk, great guy, calls out Republican senators for trying to force a secret vote to block Tulsi Gabbard. Theblaze.com.
[00:07:27] So as you know, there's hearings right now for very contentious hearings related to Donald Trump's nominees for a variety of offices. I mean, we're talking Kash Patel. We're talking RFKJR. We're talking Tulsi Gabbard all up right now. And so Charlie Kirk highlights, hey, these senators tried to create a coup, a secret vote, trying to force a secret vote to shut down Tulsi. Shame on them. My prayers are with Tulsi Gabbard.
[00:07:56] My prayers are with RFKJR. And my prayers are with Kash Patel. I hope they all get put in place. Now you say, Sam, come on, these guys have problems. Compared to what, ladies and gentlemen? Compared to who? I mean, I can pick a lot of great people that I'd love to be in positions of authority. But none of those people are even at the table. None of those people are even considered in line. Just take, for example, I'd love Richard Mack, Sheriff Richard Mack, to be the head of the FBI.
[00:08:25] I mean, he's a guy who went through the FBI Academy. He's been a cop for 20 years. He was a two-term sheriff. He went through the FBI Academy. His father was an FBI official. I mean, you know, great credentials. But see, Richard Mack's not even in line for that. He's not on the national stage for that. But guess who is? Kash Patel. Can you point out somebody on the national stage that would do better? See, I can't.
[00:08:54] I mean, I can think of a few people that I wouldn't mind being there, like General Flynn or, you know, I'm not saying there's nobody else. But who better than Kash Patel? Is Kash Patel perfect? No. What about RFKJR? The health czar, if you will. Is he got problems? Sure. You know, there's a lot to not like about him, but I will say this. He's very open and candid about Americans being sicker than dogs for a variety of reasons,
[00:09:23] and he's willing to dig in and find out why. Who else can say that on the national stage? Who else has the credential? There's a lot of people that I'd put in place to be in charge of the nation's health. But none of them were in line on the national stage. Take Tulsi Gabbard, same scenario. We go on and on and on with these people. And so I'm just saying, hey, we have got to, you know, push for somebody or else we'll end up with somebody worse for sure. So anyway, our prayers are with these folks.
[00:09:53] And they're on Capitol Hill today. So keep an eye on that ball. There's a lot of places that have live coverage of the testimony and everything else. I don't have time to watch it. I've just got too many things to do. I got a day job. Got to make a living for my family. Got to do talk radio. Got to do my videos. I mean, I'm a busy guy, right? I mean, I just wish I had enough funding to help cover some of the costs of a lot of the stuff we're doing. You know? All right. Anyway, Trump's first week in office, they say, was nothing short of revolutionary.
[00:10:23] Interesting term. Trump signed more executive orders on his first day in office than any other president in history. I'm calling that a shame, ladies and gentlemen. I really do. I think that's a shame. I don't believe in executive orders. I know you say, well, Trump's got a lot to fix. Look at the great job he's done. In many, many, many instances, I agree.
[00:10:51] Whenever executive orders were used to destroy something, can we restore it? By executive order? Yes, we can. But is it a good president? [00:13:09] Over the past 50 years, the Rust family has been working to educate customers about precious metals. Yeah, they help you know what to get, why, and how to make sure that you prosper. Freewatercoinco.com. That's Freewatercoinco.com. One of the most important advice details that they provide, take possession of your metals, will you please? All right, Brian, welcome, sir. Hey, thanks, Sam. Glad to be with you. Yeah, thank you. Our prayers go out to the families.
[00:13:39] No survivors expected in the, quote, Potomac Air plane crash. Yeah, no doubt about it. That's just sad to hear that or see that. You know, I think the question, I mean, you brought up the question of, man, couldn't, and I did the same. My wife, who watches a little bit, wouldn't the helicopter see the plane? I mean, there should be, I don't know, a visual.
[00:14:06] There should be a visual instead of just kind of seeming like it's driving right into it. I don't get it. And what about warnings from air traffic controllers? What about, I mean, anyway, I'm just saying there's so many things that just don't make any sense. And I'm just saying right now, let's hold our tongues. Let's pray for the lives lost. And let's pray they get to the bottom of it. And let's just not, we just can't speculate right now. We just don't even know enough to really, and I'm just cautioning people on this. There's stories everywhere about this right now. It's the top story in the nation right this second.
[00:14:35] And I'm just saying we've got to be careful. Yeah, I agree. We can't just jump into it. I mean, we don't know the situation. Possibly maybe they're, you know, they had mechanical, you know, where they could, you know, they were having issues with the helicopter. They couldn't quite get control of it. You know, who knows? You know, we don't know. And so there's a lot of factors. Yep. And as far as I understand, some plane or I think the plane dropped in elevation quickly.
[00:15:01] Anyway, there's just so much to it that we just need to take a second and pray for those who are suffering with life lost right now and pray that, hey, experts can get to the bottom of it. Because what we really need to do is build confidence in air travel, not erode confidence. And every time one of these things happen, you just go, man, am I going to be a guy lost over Scotland next time? Am I going to be a guy in the plane? You know, I don't know that it helps to kind of heighten those fears. Everything you do pretty soon, you won't get in the car. You won't go on a plane. You won't go out of your house.
[00:15:31] That's not healthy, Brian. Yeah, no, that's exactly right. You know, the sky is falling type thing. But yeah, we, yeah, you know, there's so much, we're bombarded with so many things. And I think that's, you know, you look at the fires in California or you look at all these things happening and every day there's another story. So, so yeah, you know, we do as, as we get, there's anxiety out there for a lot of people, all of us, I think a little bit.
[00:15:59] And, and, uh, and, uh, we all, you know, we, we, we might, you know, worry about our families and different situations there. And there's just a lot of things going on in our lives. But the world's a rowdy place, but I just want to anchor people, tether people to this. You know, God is in charge and sometimes people die and we don't understand why or how or what, you know, some of those things. We just got to put our trust in God though and say, listen, he, we are his children. He loves us. He understands the situation. And you know what?
[00:16:27] In the end, he has the power. He has the authority. He has the ability to make all things right for the righteous, for those people who keep his commandments and those people who turn to him, there will be comfort. There will be a day of refuge and safety and stability and, and all of those things. One day we can be with him. We got to take comfort in those things and put a little bit of trust in God that, look, I'm here to fulfill my mission and I'm here to do all the good I can on the earth.
[00:16:54] And you know, the Lord will support me in that if I, if I turn to him and, and one day, you know what? I'll, I'll be gone too when my mission's over and, and until then I'll do the best I can. And so I think we really need to put our trust in God though, and not just run around in fear and panic and let's have a little bit of faith, a little bit of hope here, Brian. Well, you hit it right on Sam. Hope. I was thinking hope that whole time and, and hope and faith in God. There is a plan. And I believe that we, as God's children, we weren't placed here just to, you know, eat,
[00:17:23] drink and be merry and die. And it's done. And, you know, if we're in the second act of this three act, uh, uh, story, then this is part of that plan. Now we, we, you know, we can do the best we can and, and, and make good choices and stay on that path and be able to still bless the lives of those around us, a family, friends, others. And, uh, I think doing that, you know, I, if someone, you know, you get on and family is such a, a key important in this whole structure that we're in and we're seeing destruction
[00:17:52] of that in, in a lot of cases, but boy, though, you know, if we can, if we can, uh, you know, withstand, uh, you know, the Satan and his, his plan and, and, and, uh, hold tight and, and, uh, build that family unit around us, then we have a structure and we have a plan. We know who we are. And if we just wander around and we don't know who we are, there can be, you know, so much more scary.
[00:18:18] But you can use prayer, the ultimate communication with the almighty to, to learn who you are and to, to develop this relationship and this communication with God. And you can feel his presence in your life and, and those things. Now, just to be clear, Brian, I can't be married cause I'm a male. I don't drink. So ignore all that. Um, I do like to eat though. That's kind of my problem. Well, I do too. There you go. Anyway, I just thought that, that would be worth it.
[00:18:47] Charlie Kirk speaking out boldly, justifiably so calling out Republican senators for trying to force a secret vote to shut down Tulsi Gabbard. Now, like, or just like Tulsi, I don't like this secret senators getting behind the scenes and twisting arms. And I commend Charlie Kirk for pointing this out and Hey, they got to stop this folks. We didn't hire them to run around and play games and publicly have this face and in secret do that. Um, on our dime, Brian, I got a problem with that.
[00:19:18] Yeah, I agree. I think that's what, you know, this good old boy club back there kind of thing has been built around some of that, you know, in the back room. Okay. Hey, you know, if you're billed wanting to do this and I'm wanting to look, we've got this secretly kind of put together. I don't know, you know, it seems like there's a lot of that going on and, and, uh, yeah, it's not a good thing, especially, you know, you know, in order to help, you know, I, I, not to dive, to go a different subject to bring this country together.
[00:19:46] I think Biden was the one that we're going to bring it. We're going to reunite. Well, there was no reuniting there. It was, it was blatant. There was none of that. And I think we need to get to there instead of people stabbing people in the back and this and that and the other. And look, we've got to work together and they, and, and they just, sometimes they want to secretly, these secret combinations don't help anything. All right. So let me ask you a question. The J sixers went out there to the Capitol. Most of them were peaceful.
[00:20:13] Some of them did a couple of stupid things going in there and putting your feet up on Pelosi's desk. And, you know, some people did some clown show, stupid things. There were a couple of people that might've done some violence and that's wrong. For the most part, though, we were lied to about all that. And now my dear friend, Stuart Rhodes goes to Capitol Hill to try to talk to some people. And now the Democrats are like, Oh my gosh, Mike Johnson, you got to increase security. I can't believe this crazy, you know, J six or oath keeper guy is going to come to Capitol Hill.
[00:20:42] And anyway, the reason I'm bringing all this up is I find it fascinating. That's how they treated the folks that went to the Capitol peacefully to say, Hey, Congress, will you please look into the elections? We're concerned. Okay. Well, this next story directly relates. Her name is Phyllis Fong. And Phyllis Fong is a 22 year veteran of the inspector general of the USDA. Okay.
[00:21:11] So Phyllis Fong is the inspector general of the USDA. Well, it turns out that security agents had to force her out. They had to escort her out of her office on Monday after she refused to comply. She said, Hey, Donald doesn't have authority to fire all of us. I'm staying here. And, um, she says, Hey, you know what? Trump's requirements do not comply with law.
[00:21:39] And therefore, Hey, I'm not affected at this time. And so she tried to stay there. They had to holler out according to Reuters. Now, here's my question for you. What's worse? Somebody who went into the Capitol and use the restroom or somebody who prayed outside of the Capitol, you know, dub these enemies of, of Liberty and insurrection and all this kind of stuff. Donald Trump who peacefully said, Hey, you know what? Go to the Capitol and ask your members of Congress, be peaceful, be kind, but go and let them know there's a concern.
[00:22:07] Or this Phyllis Fong lady, this lady that's literally been in government for 22 years. She's a 22 year veteran and she's the inspector general of the USDA. And they had to holler out by force using security agents. And I'm saying, isn't, doesn't that prove government officials are more dangerous than the rest of us? I think they ought to shut down the whole Capitol and say, who else won't come out? Pull them out with a block and tackle, Brian. I mean, what's going on around here?
[00:22:39] Well, it seems to be pretty chaotic back there. Maybe that's the key is that we're going to shut lock, lock down everything. And then room by room, we're going to kind of clean house. And then you can go back in if you're, you know, you've, you've done some right work or all this stuff. Now here's what the White House said about it. Listen, these rogue partisan bureaucrats who have, quote, weaponized the justice system
[00:23:08] against their, quote, political enemies are no longer fit or deserve to serve in their, quote, appointed positions. And they have been relieved of their duties in order to make room for, quote, qualified individuals who will uphold the rule of law and protect. And they say democracy, which I don't believe we have a democracy, but I get the general point, I guess.
[00:23:36] The White House leadership stated. What do you think of that? Well, well, you know, I think that those that have an agenda and it's not the agenda for the people, then, yeah, they need to be removed. And there's a lot of them that probably can't remove, but there should be some because they're not doing the job we voted them into to fulfill. Well, if they won't leave when the president tells them to, I mean, he's the chief executive,
[00:24:03] chief law enforcement officer of the nation in charge of the largest military in the world. And you're going to literally go in there and go, yeah, he doesn't have any authority over me. Well, they fall down and kick and scream. And yeah, I get it. Oh, my heaven. Trump won $25 million, huh? Yes, indeed. I'll tell you about it in seconds. Brian, rest with me. Freewatercoinco.com. You've got a friend of the honest money business. Hang tight. More in seconds on your radio.
[00:24:54] You're listening to Liberty News Radio. News this hour from townhall.com. I'm Rich Tomlinson. After working all night, searchers have given up hope of finding any survivors of last night's aviation disaster at Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C., an American Airlines regional jet and an Army Blackhawk helicopter collided. 64 people on the plane, three on the copter.
[00:25:22] So far, 28 bodies have been recovered from the icy waters of the Potomac River. As search and rescue efforts were underway in the Potomac River, President Trump issued a short statement describing the crash as a terrible accident. He expressed his thanks to first responders and referring to the passengers and crew aboard the plane and helicopter. The president said, may God bless their souls. White House correspondent Craig Clugston, the body of the plane has been found upside down in three sections in waist-deep water.
[00:25:50] The wreckage of the helicopter located as well. The FAA and the NTSB are investigating. The airport is due to reopen about an hour from now. President Trump ordering the worst of the worst of criminal illegal aliens to be detained at the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. We have 30,000 beds in Guantanamo to detain the worst criminal illegal aliens threatening the American people. Some of them are so bad we don't even trust the countries to hold them because we don't
[00:26:19] want them coming back. So we're going to send them out to Guantanamo. This will double our capacity immediately, right? And it's a tough place to get out of. [00:28:40] We are being censored. America's news outlets no longer provide the truth. 90% of news outlets in the United States are controlled by six corporations. The mission of the Epoch Times is to chase the truth, to ground all statements and facts. The Epoch Times dot com. Abby Johnson was once director of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Bryan, Texas. After a moral crisis, she quit, and now she campaigns against what she once endorsed.
[00:29:08] They implement abortion quotas in all of their clinics. What do you mean, quotas? You have to perform a certain number of abortions every month. One of the reasons that I left... Are they explicit about that? Yes. Yes. It's in your budget. Right there on the line item. One of the reasons I left Planned Parenthood was because in a budget meeting, I was told to double that abortion quota. And for me, as someone who had spoken to the media and had said, you know, we're about reducing the number of abortions.
[00:29:35] We're about, you know, prevention, all of these other services. I was shocked to hear this. If you actually worked at a Planned Parenthood, give us some sense of the relative number of abortions. Okay. Abortions. Planned Parenthood provides over 330,000 abortions a year. They are the largest single abortion provider in our country.
[00:29:55] From atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West, you are listening to the Liberty Roundtable radio talk show.
[00:30:24] Rogue partisan bureaucrats have weaponized the justice system against their political opponents. We're talking about Phyllis Fong, for example. Security agents had to escort her off the property, off the premises. They ought to throw her in jail for a long time. What do you mean you won't leave when you're fired? Are you kidding me right now? Did she get arrested? How come she gets kid gloves when the rest of the J6ers... Wow.
[00:30:53] Let's just show the two-tiered justice system. Anyway, I digress. Donald Trump won a bunch of money. Turns out that Meta, you know, the big old Facebook... I don't know, whatever you call that thing. Overseeing company. Meta to pay $25 million to settle a 2021 lawsuit. The president had sued the social media company after his accounts were suspended following the J6 scenario.
[00:31:22] Andy Lemsky with the story. And I guess $22 million of it will go towards a fund for the presidential Trump library. And then I guess the other plaintiffs will get a little bit and lawyer fees and everything else will deal with the rest of it. Trump signed the settlement agreement in the Oval Office. But here's what I find fascinating. They say Meta won't admit any wrongdoing. So let me get this right.
[00:31:50] We did nothing wrong, but we got to settle a suit for $25 million. Brian? $25 million. You would think if you really did no wrong and you don't want to spend $25 million, you'd fight that sucker. The problem is if you go to court, you're likely to lose because, well, we can debate what wrongdoing is, but where do they get the authority to just shut down President Trump's account on their own opinions or whims or backroom dealings? Or maybe it comes out that Joe Biden forced them to?
[00:32:19] I mean, where does that go, right? Yeah, you're exactly right. You know, I think the evidence is, you know, are basically, you know, is right there. You know, it's just like you kind of have their accounts out there that companies have come to use. Hey, we can't have you using our, you can't have access to this anymore because we don't like what you're saying or things like that. Doesn't that happen to a number of people? Oh, it's happened to Sam Bush when they shut me down on Twitter. Maybe I had to sue Elon Musk. You know, I'm just kidding. I'm making a point, right?
[00:32:49] Right, right. Hey, they shut me down on Twitter. They've shut me down in plenty of places. They've reported me wrongfully to the, you know, Congress saying that I'm somehow a danger to the country. Where do you get? I'm a danger in any way. There's not a single violent act. Me and Richard Mack have already promised $10,000 to anybody that can point to a violent act committed by me or by Richard Mack. And nobody can, no one's taking us up on the 10 grand. Maybe we need to up the ante, huh?
[00:33:17] Anyway, it's just like, what the heck? Well, and I think that's what, you know, we look at this, you know, stuff and it's, that's the game. You know, they kind of, you know, they pick and choose who they want on there because that's their agenda. We want this. We don't want to hear from your side. We don't want to give you a voice. And that's, I'm sure that, you know, Trump, especially with things, you know, that whole side of things was hitting Trump. Well, they just wanted to jump in more too. Well, we're going to, yeah, we're not going to allow it.
[00:33:46] We're going to shut him down as well. And it's going to cause havoc and, and we're just part of that group. It just shows, it just shows who they are. I think part of the reason for the settlement is they don't want to drag this to the courts and find out that Joe Biden literally probably pressured them or Barack Obama or somebody pressured them to do this. And they know that if they drag that sucker through court and we start getting discovery and everything else, we're going to prove that. And that would be way more disastrous than the 25 million. So I'm looking at it personally as proven Donald, right?
[00:34:14] 25 million, but let's not go into the details and make it worse than it already is. I mean, that's my take on it, Brian. Yeah, you're probably right. That's, that's, that's probably it. Yep. Which I, you know, I mean, I appreciate that Donald's getting his library and 25 million is going to it or 22 million is going to that. I appreciate it. But I'd rather have the facts come out though and say, Hey, look how evil the previous administration has been. And we've got to really create accountability for that.
[00:34:42] Anyway, Federal Reserve quote pauses interest rate cuts. They say they'll leave interest rates unchanged at their first meeting that happened. I think yesterday or was it Tuesday? Can't remember. Anyway, it's the first meeting they had since Trump has taken his oath of office to conduct a second term. And I guess it's kind of interesting.
[00:35:09] They said they were going to drop interest rates and now they're backing off. They're saying a lot of Trump's policies might cause inflation and stocks end up dropping after Fed's latest decision to not do the rate cuts. They say it may be on hold for a while, according to Newser. What do you think of that? Well, they tried to just push under the rug the fact of inflation and other things that were heating up.
[00:35:39] And they were just saying, well, it's just transitory. It's not a big deal or anything. But the fact is, inflation wasn't dead. And yeah, now we have this inflationary devil basically out there and so on. And so basically, and you look back on all the issues because we have massive debt. We have a bubble economy. That's all created by the Fed.
[00:36:03] And then on top of that, you had quantitative easing. We're going to give money out there to help curb this inflation and all this stuff. Well, it's where we're at. So now we, in the story, basically, you gave us this cash for all these people. And now the fix is in and they want some more of this cash kind of thing type thing. And so they created a problem all the way along instead of just help the problem.
[00:36:32] Well, what I find fascinating is I don't believe the Federal Reserve chairman or even the board, Drum Powell or any of these other clowns have authority to really dictate an interest rate. President Trump thinks because of his business acumen that he can set the rate better than they can. So he wants to lower it. Experts say lowering it will only increase inflation.
[00:36:53] Real experts like Ron Paul and many others say, listen, you've got to let that interest rate fluctuate in the free market based on supply and demand. If the interest rate goes too high, nobody will take loans out. If the interest rate gets low enough, people will. Well, this sign supply and demand can create equilibrium in the marketplace just fine. And we don't need manipulation from whacked out Powell, the Federal Reserve Board or Donald on this thing. And that's the view that I hold to, Brian.
[00:37:22] Yeah, yeah, you're right. I mean, that's that's the issue. But, you know, I think that they just are trying to manipulate this and trying to keep us OK. Well, we're you know, inflation is definitely here. People are feeling the backlash. But you look at over the years, all the situations with with COVID and all these other things that went on. I mean, we were in a we're in a mess. And so but they made it look like, oh, it's not a big deal. We have full control. We know what we're doing.
[00:37:51] Well, in real reality, they don't. You know, let's get rid of the Federal Reserve and get back to honest money. I think they need to throw tariffs on there and they need to go ahead and just abolish the IRS. Let's go. Yeah, I agree. I agree. That's exactly right. Trump admin rescinds freeze on federal aid. I find this quite interesting, too, Brian.
[00:38:14] And they put a big old freeze on government aid and government projects and said, hey, we need to investigate and look at every one of them and determine what's in line with Trump's policies and everything else. Then they got sued over it. Then they already caved and. Well, they undid the freeze. I support the freeze. I think we need to look at every expenditure. But lawsuits and judges overturning it and everything. Everybody's against Trump on this. I stand with Trump on this.
[00:38:39] But what I find fascinating is this is why when we said, hey, Trump might get a lot done in office and we pray that he does. But we're predicting that he hits a buzzsaw on a lot of these different things. And this is just proof in the pudding. Well, yeah, I agree with you, Sam. We've got to look at each one of these, you know, all these things in the spending. I mean, we're just out of control. Spending is just out of control. And the issue is, is no one wants to give in.
[00:39:07] You know, even when, you know, they get on the floor there and say, well, let's just cut 1%. No one wants to do it, just like you said. And so it's a matter of getting control here a little bit and seeing just where we're at. And if that means clearing house and weeding out the bad and, you know, and really bringing attention to those who are just bleeding this dry. I mean, we need to see it. Transparency. Amen. But here's my issue.
[00:39:34] Trump is doing what's right when he says let's put a halt to this. Let's look at every expenditure and make sure that it's in line with the administration's agenda. Make sure it's in line with the law. Make sure that, okay, I support Trump a thousand percent in that. However, a whacked out judge put a freeze on it. Then a bunch of people sued. A bunch of states sued President Trump or the Trump administration. And now Trump admin rescinds freeze on federal aid.
[00:39:59] We the people need to get involved now and push back harder than the judge and harder than the clowns that sued and said this is an appropriate approach. Donald Trump is right on this. We need to look at every expenditure. How do you expect us to decrease the cost of government if we don't? And this is an example where we've got to get involved, Brian. No, you're right. I think he has to look at everyone.
[00:40:23] But who's behind the, you know, who's pushing these judges and so on to, well, we can't, they can't do that. And, you know, maybe see what's, where it is, what's happening here and bringing attention so that we can move forward and try to help. I'm saying impeach, impeach the judges. They don't have the right to just circumvent Donald at every turn. They act like they're gods. And let's have 10 million screaming Americans going, look, we have got to get a handle on spending.
[00:40:52] Congress won't do it. We got to do it now. And if you don't, you're fired. Hang tight. Looking for an IT partner that truly understands your needs? Managed IT services is the answer. [00:43:08] The Rust family, three generations, have been helping people understand and get involved in precious metal. Freewatercoinco.com, the name of the company. You've got a friend in the honest money business. Where's honest money now? Gold, Brian? $27.85.80. $27.85.80. Silver? $31.55. $31.55. So that's still, what, almost 90 to 1, huh? Yeah, $88.2 to 1.
[00:43:38] One of the best investments you can make right now, ladies and gentlemen, take an ounce of gold and turn it into silver. I know that sounds crazy, but I'm just telling you right now, silver is incredibly undervalued, Brian. Yeah, you're exactly right. It rose 20.5% last year, which still isn't a bad performance. You know, obviously, while gold set a record high, silver is $20 under the all-time high.
[00:44:02] And, you know, the fundamentals, basically, you know, industry and monetary, you know, physical metal is being bought up. So it's, yeah, they're predicting some increases. Another 30% or even higher this year and obviously demands there for it. Well, that's good news, to say the least.
[00:44:30] What's the best buy right now or what's kind of available? Are things hard to get a hold of? Give me kind of a reality on the ground for folks who want honest money. Yeah, it's there. We have, obviously, nickels there. You've talked about those. We're under melt on nickels. A lot of times we'll buy, you know, we'll have a group of metal in there that you can buy around the spot price being that 31.55.
[00:44:59] So there's metal that sometimes you can get at that. And then you're paying the smaller premiums a little bit over that for something. So, yeah, but there is a demand. And so, but the best buy, you know, I'm digressing here, rattling on here, but Best Buy, a lot of times there's people that need to sell. They need to pay off debt or whatever it may be. And as we buy product in there, we do a little better for the stuff coming through the door.
[00:45:29] I don't have to order it from some wholesaler and it works in their behalf. You don't have to wait, which means the markets change while you wait. You don't have to pay for shipping because it just walks in the door. Or there's a lot of ways Brian can take advantage of all that and bring to you one of the best deals. And those things happen and change daily is the point that you're making, right? Correct. Yep. So every given day, you know, we're buying and selling all the time. But, yeah, there's opportunities for, you know, things that you can get at a better price.
[00:45:58] When Rich Sam rolls in and drops a bunch of gold on Brian, then he decides, hey, you know what? There's some good deals out there for, I'm just kidding. I try not to sell any metals. I try just to purchase metals, Brian. Well, and that's it. We have clients that come in every day or once or twice a week. And they just, you know, they just steady Eddie. And before you know it, you've got a nice chunk that you can fall back on. And, yeah, peace of mind.
[00:46:25] A lot of those people, believe it or not, when you say they come in every other day, a couple times a week, many of them are involved in really small transactions. But when you look at the holistic reality of what they've done, it's big. Yeah, it really is. It adds up quick before you know it. You've got to say, wow. Before you know it, it's a nice little chunk. And the nice thing about it is, you know, there's some people that obviously need to sell or so on. They fell on hard times and that.
[00:46:52] And it's nice to have that nest egg there where, you know, you don't have to borrow. You don't have to do this. But, hey, I've got some of this that I can use to pay this bill or this debt or whatever it is. And that's peace of mind. You know, I kind of think this is interesting. And I'm kind of a redneck, but just follow me and see if this makes any sense. You used to have what were called dime stores. Right? Then you had dollar stores.
[00:47:21] And now even dollar stores don't work, right? What the heck's going on? Well, that's the adage. And that's why, you know, that's why I always say that our little kind of logo or motto out there is my quarter still buys me a gallon of gas. And it does. I remember when gas was a quarter and you could get gas for that. Well, my silver quarter today still buys me a gallon of gas plus. So I haven't lost any value in this quarter.
[00:47:48] But my quarter in the teal that I give out and change won't buy me a Coke. So you can see basically the worth of what you have. And real money holds value. That $20 gold piece, that's $2,800. Well, that $20 gold piece still buys everything it did way back. And so it hasn't changed. So $20 bill, that's lunch anymore it seems like. All right. Now let me explain. They were called five and dime stores.
[00:48:15] So five cents, ten cents, five and dime stores. And they were kind of the mainstay of Main Street back in the day. And then it became dollar stores. I mean, in that, doesn't that just really tell you the whole story, Brian? Yeah. I used to go down and get for a penny for, you know, and two or three cents. You could buy a little piece. We'd walk by the store. I remember walking downtown Main Street in Salt Lake and their little giant five and dime.
[00:48:45] And you could go in there and here's three cents. I got three cents. Can you give me those three little bubblegums or, you know, whatever. But, yeah. I, yeah. I remember. Yeah. So you kind of ask people, do you remember? And many people do. Many people don't is the problem with this. And I look at five and dime stores and then I kind of go dollar stores. What's next? What are you going to call them? 20 spot stores? Now. Five and $10 stores.
[00:49:15] $100 bill store. What's on the $100 bill? What do they call those? A Benjamin? Yeah. Isn't $100 a Benjamin? Yeah. So you're just going to call them Ben stores? You got to have $100 to walk into this bad boy. Come on into the Ben store. We got a lot for you. We're going to need to see your wallet. We got to see what we are. You can't come in here. You got enough Benjamins to even be worth our time?
[00:49:45] No more five and dime. You got enough Benjamins to be worth our time? I mean, it's just a little bit crazy. But what do I know? No, I'm just a talk show host. I don't really have a clue. But I just find that very interesting. Five and dime stores. Do you remember? Then it was dollar stores. I just, I don't know what it's going to look like going forward. Brian, final story of the hour. I just want to get your take on this real quick. So I don't know if you know, but I've been talking about the new media taking center stage for literally 20 years. I give speeches. He who owns the media makes the rules.
[00:50:14] And the new media takes center stage. Well, I don't know if you know, but they just put White House Secretary Caroline Leavitt in place. She's a great lady. Class act. Very, very good. Anyway, they created a way for people to sign up and be part of the press corps that are in new media. And believe it or not, they're using the term new media. Their website is basically whitehouse.gov slash new media. And I don't know anybody saying new media like I have been.
[00:50:44] And so it's kind of interesting. I don't know if I get any credit for that or if they got that from me or if they got that independently. But when you see that kind of stuff, we're winning. Sam Bushman talks about the new media taking center stage for literally 20 years or so. And then Donald Trump has whitehouse.gov slash new media. Coincidence, Brian? I don't know. I hope not because I like where you're going with it. But it doesn't matter if it's a coincidence or not, though. It's getting done. That's all that really matters. I don't need credit, Brian.
[00:51:13] The point is it's happening. Right. And I think the next thing that needs to happen is the voice. You have a good voice. Sheriff Matt, all these people that you've touched, that's a good voice. And so that's why I'd like to see some of that in this agenda. Absolutely. That's a cool thing. We're gaining on it. Anyway, I just thought that was a little bit of a victory lap we can take. And, you know, I don't mean just to run around and be like I told you so. But I do know sometimes you've got to kind of take a victory lap and tie this together.
[00:51:43] Because people are like, Sam, you don't even make a difference. You're just such a tiny voice. And my response is, hey, you just keep me quiet. Keep me out of the limelight so I can live a normal life. You know, let me walk down the street and hang out with my wife. And no one knows who I am. That's perfect. You just keep doing that. I don't need to be popular. I don't need credit. I don't need to be the celebrity. You just let me live my personal life, a good old quiet life as I retire and hang out with my grandkids and all that I do. But you just let that impact just reverb through the nation, okay? And you just have it that way. I'm all happy with that. That's the Lord's work, sir.
[00:52:13] That's right. I love it. So you just have Brian Rust make honest money popular again. And, hey, Brian doesn't need the credit. He'll just go serve his church on a mission or something. And, hey, that's all perfect. That's what we want. We're not after the limelight. We're not after being billionaires. We're just after seeing the right things percolate through society, and it's starting to happen. The new media is taking center stage. So much so the president has whitehouse.gov slash new media. Go sign up, people, if you want to get involved.
[00:52:42] And I'll just personally say, hey, I don't care if there's credit or not. All I care about is you can see the new media is taking center stage. If it's at the White House, how much more center stage could it get than that, Brian? I love it. I think we'd love to see that, you know, get rid of all these people patting themselves on the back and say, hey, where's my award? Or where's my this, that, and the other? No, I think we just all quietly do our thing and make a difference.
[00:53:11] Well, you're having security agents haul some of those suckers right out of the White House to make the point there. Right out of the, you know, hey, just haul those suckers out. And now they're setting them Guantanamo Bay. Hey, did you see this? Donald Trump says, hey, these people might come across the border again, even if we kick them out. So we've got to put the worst of them in Guantanamo Bay so they can't come back. Bring it. I love it. That's right. But I do have a mercy side to that justice reality.
[00:53:38] I celebrate the hardened criminals going to Guantanamo Bay and never coming back. But I also have a lot of mercy in my heart for the DACA children and for some other people that are here peacefully and just want a better life. If I had to swim the river to have a better life, Brian, I'd do it too. So I don't blame some of those peaceful people that just want to improve their family circumstances. And we've got to, you know, have an approach that can work with them too, Brian. I agree, Sam. I think there's plans in place, but we just don't listen to those plans.
[00:54:07] We just kind of, our last regime just opened up the floodgates. Well, as the new media takes center stage, I hope to have a voice in that justice-tempered-with-mercy plan as we deal with all of God's children. And we do so in a way that God would be pleased with. Thank you, Brian. Hey, you bet. Good work, man. There he goes, Brian Russ doing a phenomenal job. You've got a friend in the honest money business. His recommendation, get your medal and take possession thereof.
[00:54:35] Yeah, we're talking about FreeWaterCoinCo.com, your partner in the honest money business. FreeWaterCoinCo.com, Sam Bushman, LibertyRoundTable.com, LovingLiberty.net. God save the republic.
