[00:01:41] If you watch one of my favorite holiday or Christmas movies, it's the most wonderful time of the year.

[00:01:48] It's funny. It's good. It's endearing. It's got the fawns in it.

[00:01:52] I'm going to come on. What more do you want?

[00:01:55] Anyway, so I had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

[00:02:00] Spent time with family and loved ones, opened gifts, thought about Christ.

[00:02:04] Christ, all the things that make Christmas wonderful family.

[00:02:09] To those of you who don't have family, our prayers are with you and yours.

[00:02:14] That's why we do live radio on Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas.

[00:02:19] Sometimes we're even live on Christmas. It's rare, but sometimes we are.

[00:02:23] We're live a lot on Thanksgiving and other holidays because we do care.

[00:02:27] We do want to spend time with our radio family.

[00:02:29] And we want to give you guys an opportunity, but we don't want to interfere with family time.

[00:02:34] It's a very unique balance that we try to achieve.

[00:02:37] But welcome to the show. Hope you're all doing absolutely fantastic.

[00:02:41] Brian rushed out with grandkids. He won't be with us today, so he's doing an extended Merry Christmas.

[00:02:46] I'm all over Christmas enjoying the break.

[00:02:49] You know, it's when Christmas is on kind of a Wednesday in the middle of the week.

[00:02:53] It's a little bit rough because people want to take off a day or two before and a day or two after.

[00:02:57] Pretty soon the whole week's gone.

[00:02:59] And a lot of people take off between Christmas and New Year's, so that week's toast.

[00:03:03] So, you know, you might as well just hang it up around the 20th or so of December

[00:03:08] and then just focus on the most critical tasks and just let it go.

[00:03:13] Congress doing us a doozy on Christmas.

[00:03:16] They passed the spending bill.

[00:03:18] They let Joe Biden off the hook.

[00:03:20] That's a disgrace.

[00:03:21] Nevertheless, time marches on.

[00:03:23] We'll see what the Republicans do as they take control of the House very shortly.

[00:03:30] What will it be next week sometime?

[00:03:31] They'll take over the House, I guess it is, in the Senate.

[00:03:34] We'll see how that all goes.

[00:03:36] Donald Trump being inaugurated on the 20th of January.

[00:03:38] So there's a lot to cover for the new year.

[00:03:40] We'll dig into that as the new year unfolds.

[00:03:43] I want to talk a little bit about this previous year.

[00:03:45] What happened in 24 that was so significant?

[00:03:47] We'll get to some of that as well as the broadcast unfolds.

[00:03:51] Now, Donald Trump issued a Christmas message on Truth Social.

[00:03:56] And I guess he sent it to Canada, to Greenland, Chinese soldiers in Panama,

[00:04:03] just about everybody, I guess.

[00:04:05] Anyway, it was on the EpochTimes.com, had the article about it.

[00:04:10] But the, what do you want to say, the Christmas, Merry Christmas message?

[00:04:16] I don't know.

[00:04:17] It was released on Truth Social.

[00:04:20] And there's many allegations and information that Truth Social is growing,

[00:04:23] growing, growing.

[00:04:24] So when you look at X and Truth Social, it becomes a juggernaut.

[00:04:27] They kind of mocked Elon Musk back in the day when he took over Twitter.

[00:04:31] They're like, oh, Twitter's a tiny fraction of what it once was.

[00:04:35] And they used to try to mock it.

[00:04:36] Now they're going, oh, my gosh.

[00:04:37] Elon Musk, the richest man in the world with a juggernaut of a communication tool

[00:04:41] like nobody's seen before.

[00:04:42] What are we going to do?

[00:04:44] And now Truth Social rolling up alongside X, both getting bigger by the day

[00:04:48] as conservatives and people who believe in not even conservative principles

[00:04:54] at this point, but just believe in standard general common sense

[00:04:58] and morality and street smarts.

[00:05:00] They're all backing Trump.

[00:05:02] Not because he's perfect, not because they love everything he does,

[00:05:04] but because they realize there's no other way forward right now in the world

[00:05:08] for we the people in America.

[00:05:09] There just isn't.

[00:05:10] So let's embrace it and give them all the opportunity, support, hope, faith,

[00:05:16] and our efforts that we can give them to reduce the size and scope of government,

[00:05:19] to bring government back on track.

[00:05:21] But when you wish a Merry Christmas and you're not quite president,

[00:05:24] you're president-elect.

[00:05:27] And you basically promote all these ideas wrapped into a big old Christmas package

[00:05:31] with a bow on it, presented to you.

[00:05:35] How is the court of public opinion going to take his message?

[00:05:38] That's the question.

[00:05:39] Let's listen to it.

[00:05:40] We'll talk more about it.

[00:05:41] Here it is.

[00:05:42] President of the United States, it's my tremendous honor to finally wish America

[00:05:47] and the world a very Merry Christmas.

[00:05:51] For Christians, this is a holy season,

[00:05:54] the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

[00:06:00] More than 2,000 years ago, the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary.

[00:06:05] He said, do not be afraid.

[00:06:08] You have found favor with God.

[00:06:11] The angel told her that she would give birth to a baby boy, Jesus,

[00:06:15] who would be called the Son of the Most High.

[00:06:19] Nine months later, Christ was born in the town of Bethlehem.

[00:06:23] The Son of God came into the world in a humble stable.

[00:06:27] Whatever our beliefs, we know that the birth of Jesus Christ

[00:06:31] and the story of this incredible life

[00:06:35] forever changed the course of human history.

[00:06:39] There's hardly an aspect of our lives today

[00:06:42] that his life has not touched art, music, culture, law,

[00:06:48] and our respect for the sacred dignity of every person everywhere in the world.

[00:06:56] At Christmas, we give thanks to God

[00:06:59] and that God sent his only son to die for us

[00:07:03] and to offer everlasting peace to all humanity.

[00:07:07] We recognize that the real spirit of Christmas is not what we have.

[00:07:13] It's about who we are.

[00:07:15] Each one of us is a child of God.

[00:07:20] That is the true source of joy this time of the year.

[00:07:25] That is what makes every Christmas merry.

[00:07:29] Above all, during the sacred season,

[00:07:31] our souls are full of thanks and praise

[00:07:34] for Almighty God for sending us Christ,

[00:07:38] his Son, to redeem the world.

[00:07:42] Tonight we ask that God will continue to bless this nation

[00:07:45] and we pray that he will grant every American family

[00:07:49] a Christmas season full of joy, hope, and peace.

[00:07:57] All right, now that's interesting.

[00:08:00] When was this given, this Christmas message?

[00:08:05] Because as far as I'm reading,

[00:08:06] there's two Christmas messages Donald sent out for Christmas.

[00:08:10] What date was that, Liz?

[00:08:15] All right, we're trying to find that

[00:08:16] because that to me is a legitimate good Christmas message.

[00:08:20] Now, he didn't really say he was a Christian.

[00:08:22] He didn't really testify that Christ rose from the dead

[00:08:25] or died on the cross.

[00:08:26] He didn't get into any of that.

[00:08:28] He tried to be a little bit more neutral.

[00:08:32] All right, on December 25th, that was posted.

[00:08:34] But the Epoch Times is reporting,

[00:08:37] and hopefully you can find this other one too,

[00:08:39] maybe on Truth Social, Liz.

[00:08:40] But as far as I understand, he delivered two messages,

[00:08:43] one kind of the American people

[00:08:44] and one kind of around the world.

[00:08:46] The other one headline says,

[00:08:48] Trump issues Christmas message on Truth Social

[00:08:50] to Canada, Greenland, Chinese soldiers in Panama,

[00:08:56] theepochtimes.com with that piece.

[00:08:58] Merry Christmas to all, including the wonderful soldiers of China

[00:09:04] who are lovingly but who are illegally operating the Panama Canal.

[00:09:11] Wow.

[00:09:13] Where we lost 38,000 people in its building 110 years ago,

[00:09:21] his Truth Social quote began.

[00:09:26] Republican lawmakers like Senator Marco Rubio

[00:09:29] and former Representative Matt Gaetz and others

[00:09:33] have increasingly expressed concerns about Chinese

[00:09:37] or the CCP's actions

[00:09:41] and influence around the Panama Canal.

[00:09:45] I guess a Hong Kong-based company

[00:09:49] called Hutchinson's Ports PPC

[00:09:54] is who runs both sides of the canal.

[00:09:58] And they say that they've been doing it since 1997

[00:10:01] and they're contracted to do that for the next, quote, 20 years.

[00:10:05] Wow.

[00:10:08] Wow.

[00:10:08] I guess the Latin American countries down there

[00:10:11] also joined the CCP's,

[00:10:13] they call it Belt and Road Initiative in 2017.

[00:10:19] So there you have that.

[00:10:20] He talked about that.

[00:10:22] He also named Kevin Marino.

[00:10:25] He's a former Miami-Dade County Commissioner

[00:10:28] to be the Vice Chairman of the International Trade Consortium.

[00:10:33] And he's also the nominee to the ambassador of Panama now.

[00:10:37] Trump then wished a Merry Christmas

[00:10:39] to the Canadian Prime Minister.

[00:10:41] We'll take a quick break.

[00:10:46] It's a little bit of a duplicitous message from Trump.

[00:13:09] where you've got kind of a duplicitous,

[00:13:12] I don't really know what you call it exactly,

[00:13:14] message from Trump, I guess.

[00:13:18] And the message to Trump that I see

[00:13:20] is just a normal message to the American people.

[00:13:24] But the Epoch Times is reporting

[00:13:30] Trump's Christmas message is what the title of it is

[00:13:33] in the Epoch Times.

[00:13:35] And they have an article

[00:13:38] that refers to Trump

[00:13:42] in this Christmas message.

[00:13:43] And it talks about, hey, he released it on Truth Social

[00:13:46] and all this kind of stuff.

[00:13:48] But when I go on Truth Social,

[00:13:51] I get a different message.

[00:13:52] I don't get the one.

[00:13:53] I get the one we played.

[00:13:54] That's to the American people.

[00:13:56] Trump issues Christmas message

[00:13:59] to Trudeau, Greenland, China, Panama.

[00:14:06] I don't really know how to respond to this

[00:14:08] because it's just so different from what there is.

[00:14:12] I don't know if we're playing games.

[00:14:14] I do believe that Truth Social

[00:14:17] is a legitimate Trump outlet.

[00:14:20] But I don't see,

[00:14:22] if I go to Truth Social's page with Donald,

[00:14:25] I don't see it there.

[00:14:27] But yet the Epoch Times has it.

[00:14:29] I trust the Epoch Times.

[00:14:31] Trump issues Christmas message

[00:14:33] to Trudeau, Greenland, China,

[00:14:37] Panama is the headline.

[00:14:41] And the messages he sent,

[00:14:46] each of them are very politically charged

[00:14:48] and very interesting.

[00:14:49] I don't know that it's a Christmas message

[00:14:51] that should be sent.

[00:14:53] Let me give you some examples.

[00:14:56] In this, it basically says,

[00:14:59] hey, Trump issues Christmas messages to Trudeau.

[00:15:01] But what he does is he calls him Governor Trudeau.

[00:15:06] In other words,

[00:15:07] A, let's make Canada the 51st state,

[00:15:09] and it'd be awesome if we did.

[00:15:10] And then he says this,

[00:15:13] if Canada was to become our, quote,

[00:15:14] 51st state,

[00:15:17] their taxes would be cut by more than 60%.

[00:15:21] Their businesses would immediately double in size,

[00:15:26] Trump said.

[00:15:28] I don't mean to be rude to Donald about this,

[00:15:30] but I'm just going to say,

[00:15:31] you know what?

[00:15:31] You can't say their business will double in size.

[00:15:34] Some businesses might do better.

[00:15:36] Some businesses might do worse.

[00:15:38] Depends on the competition and the landscape.

[00:15:40] But to make claims like that,

[00:15:42] now this is right in the Epoch Times article,

[00:15:47] and it's very strange indeed.

[00:15:49] So I'm not sure how to handle this

[00:15:51] because it's tough for me sometimes.

[00:15:52] I don't have the staff to go hunt all this down.

[00:15:55] I'm sure there's a true social message

[00:15:57] that Trump put out about it.

[00:15:58] How it's different from the one that we see

[00:16:01] is beyond me.

[00:16:02] You know, I've got to look at it.

[00:16:03] Did he release it a couple of days ago maybe?

[00:16:07] You know,

[00:16:08] are we getting scammed by it?

[00:16:11] Merry Christmas to all,

[00:16:12] he says,

[00:16:13] including to the wonderful soldiers of China

[00:16:16] who are lovingly,

[00:16:18] but who are illegally

[00:16:55] we're going to take on China, Canada.

[00:16:57] I mean, is that a Christmas message?

[00:17:01] I don't really know how to relate to this

[00:17:04] because it just seems so foreign.

[00:17:07] Then saying their taxes will be cut by 60%.

[00:18:06] he proposed that professional ice hockey legend

[00:18:09] by the name of Wayne Gretzky

[00:18:14] or whatever

[00:18:15] become the Canada's next prime minister.

[00:18:19] It's just,

[00:18:21] it's all over the map.

[00:18:23] We're going to have to try to keep hunting this down.

[00:18:25] I just don't understand it.

[00:18:26] They say Trump also expressed Christmas wishes

[00:18:29] to the people of Greenland.

[00:18:31] He said,

[00:18:32] hey,

[00:18:32] we need to annex it.

[00:18:34] And don't worry,

[00:18:35] people want the United States to be there.

[00:18:38] And I'm just kind of going,

[00:18:40] what?

[00:18:43] Anyway,

[00:18:44] maybe these are just posts that he made.

[00:18:47] But I don't understand when you say

[00:18:49] you send a Christmas message

[00:18:50] and these,

[00:18:50] you know,

[00:18:51] volleys of posts,

[00:18:52] it isn't exactly a Christmas message that I see.

[00:18:57] it's very strange.

[00:19:00] and maybe provide clarity to this,

[00:19:21] but I look at that

[00:19:24] and they say he speaks at a,

[00:19:32] 2024 that he gave the speech,

[00:19:38] now they're calling that a Christmas message.

[00:19:40] I don't know that I'd call that a Christmas message exactly.

[00:19:47] I guess if you call it,

[00:19:57] including to the wonderful soldiers of China.

[00:20:00] it seems like it's factual information,

[00:20:03] but it seems very disjointed.

[00:20:23] And actually when the sun went down last night,

[00:20:25] I happened to watch and film.

[00:20:28] I'm not sure what it was,

[00:20:29] a drone or whatever it was up there,

[00:20:31] but it was in the sky about a thousand feet up above the Vegas Valley.

[00:20:36] And I actually recorded,

[00:20:38] I'll send it to you on your phone.

[00:20:40] And I got about 10 minutes of drone footage.

[00:20:44] And the weird thing that I found out on them lights,

[00:20:48] they're not blinking.

[00:20:50] You see planes in the background going by,

[00:20:54] but they are trying to look either military or alien based.

[00:21:01] They take off at record speed.

[00:21:04] So I'm not sure what we're dealing with.

[00:21:06] In regards to Canada,

[00:21:08] I would like to see Trump make Canada the 51st state.

[00:21:15] What do you think about these dual Christmas messages though?

[00:21:17] You got that to the American people,

[00:21:19] which is pretty simple.

[00:21:20] It doesn't double down for Jesus,

[00:21:21] but he certainly promotes Christian viewpoints and celebrates Christmas and wishes everybody a Merry Christmas.

[00:21:26] And then you got this other message and I'm having trouble even finding it,

[00:21:30] but it's in the Epoch Times.

[00:21:31] So I'm sure it's accurate.

[00:21:34] You know,

[00:21:34] Trump issues Christmas message to Trudeau,

[00:21:36] to Greenland,

[00:21:37] all these people.

[00:21:38] I don't know if it's just a series of posts,

[00:21:40] but it makes it sound like he spoke at Mar-a-Lago on the 16th.

[00:21:44] It relates to this.

[00:21:45] And somehow it was posted on true social.

[00:21:47] And the problem is the article is very vague and I can't find the source material for it,

[00:21:51] but it's got a lot of interesting twists in terms of what the administration might be looking at.

[00:21:56] Annexing Greenland,

[00:21:57] for example,

[00:21:59] you know,

[00:21:59] the Panama Canal,

[00:22:00] taking that back,

[00:22:01] making Canada the 51st state.

[00:22:03] You know,

[00:22:04] there's a lot of crazy stuff being promoted here.

[00:22:07] Well,

[00:22:08] one thing I do like is you got all these Christians.

[00:22:12] The biggest group of people persecuted right now across the world are the Christian people.

[00:22:16] They're getting slaughtered all over Syria.

[00:22:20] The guy that we put in now that's running Syria had $11 million bounty on its head.

[00:22:25] And now he's running Syria underneath our Biden regime.

[00:22:30] We have a big problem because that's Sharia law.

[00:22:34] And they don't even recognize Christianity at all.

[00:22:37] So what's happening now all over Syria is hundreds of thousands of Christians are getting murdered by the regime that took it.

[00:22:45] I'd like to see Trump go right back into Syria and just take over that capital there where Assad was,

[00:22:53] move right into the Assad palace and establish an American base there.

[00:22:57] Since we already have 3,000 troops in Syria that the government is not telling you.

[00:23:03] Yeah,

[00:23:03] I agree.

[00:23:04] I agree.

[00:23:05] We have those troops there.

[00:23:06] The government's not admitting to be honest about that.

[00:23:08] And they might be able to play games about many of them or independent contractors paid for by the government.

[00:23:14] So they're not quote technically soldiers.

[00:23:15] They play a lot of weird games like that.

[00:23:17] But I say,

[00:23:18] Hey,

[00:23:18] we don't have any authority in Syria at all.

[00:23:20] We don't have any congressional mandate for war or anything like it.

[00:23:24] So I see,

[00:23:24] I simply think we need to get out of there.

[00:23:26] We shouldn't be there in the first place.

[00:23:28] Well,

[00:23:29] the reason we're there again,

[00:23:30] you go back 10 years ago,

[00:23:31] remember the big red line that Obama drew in the sand?

[00:23:35] Well,

[00:23:36] that didn't work out too good for the Biden or the Obama regime.

[00:23:39] So what we're seeing today is the,

[00:23:42] uh,

[00:31:26] He did way better than, you know, Biden and Barack and all those other guys would have done.

[00:31:34] But Trump issues several Christmas media posts to Trudeau, Greenland, China, Panama.

[00:31:44] And here are the details of the series of posts.

[00:31:47] It's just not as easy to find.

[00:31:49] It's not in one, like, message like you think it would be your video.

[00:31:51] And I was just looking for that video to play.

[00:31:55] But it's not there.

[00:31:56] It's just a series of posts that we understand.

[00:31:58] First one, quote, Merry Christmas to all, including the wonderful soldiers of China

[00:32:03] who are lovingly but illegally operating the Panama Canal

[00:32:07] where we lost 38,000 people in its building 110 years ago.

[00:32:13] His address on Truth Social began.

[00:32:15] So it's kind of a volley.

[00:32:17] Hey, you guys are illegally there.

[00:32:19] Merry Christmas.

[00:32:20] But, you know, we're not going to tolerate this illegal activity.

[00:32:23] Trump also extended Christmas wishes to the people of Greenland and Ireland.

[00:32:29] He then said is needed for national security purposes.

[00:32:34] Oh, I guess an island, not Ireland.

[00:32:36] Sorry, an island that he says we need this for national security.

[00:32:40] He says the Greenland people want us there.

[00:32:43] I don't know.

[00:32:43] It depends on how that deal goes down on how interested I am in that or not.

[00:32:47] Now, if you're honorable and you give the people a choice to vote on it

[00:32:50] and, you know, you pay properly for the land or whatever, you know,

[00:32:54] I mean, it can be worked out to where I could be satisfied.

[00:32:57] But we better be very careful that we don't turn into, you know, a hostile expansionist.

[00:33:03] I mean, at what point is it like, hey, it makes sense for national security,

[00:33:06] the people are involved and willing, but yet at what point does it amount to a takeover?

[00:33:11] It's kind of interesting.

[00:33:12] And if we're not very careful, then, you know, we start doing this

[00:33:15] and China starts doing that.

[00:33:16] Pretty soon we'll have Greenland, they'll have Taiwan.

[00:33:20] We need to be very careful with this.

[00:33:23] He then says, what if Canada were to become our very 51st state?

[00:33:28] Their taxes would be cut by more than 60%.

[00:33:31] Their businesses would immediately double in size.

[00:33:36] And they would be militarily protected like no other country in the world, Trump said.

[00:33:41] You want to know my problem with that, people?

[00:33:48] Then Trump wished a Merry Christmas to the Canadian Prime Minister

[00:33:53] who, once again, he called Governor Justin Trudeau.

[00:33:57] Now, the problem that I have with that whole thing is this.

[00:34:00] I don't know how much Canada wants to become our 51st state, right?

[00:34:07] When he says their taxes would be cut by more than 60%,

[00:34:09] I don't even see how you can make a claim like that with a straight face.

[00:34:12] Unless you've done all the behind-the-scenes work to prove that,

[00:34:15] we're taxed through the roof, Donald.

[00:34:18] And now you're talking about adding tariffs to that?

[00:34:21] Unless you cut our taxes by 60-plus percent,

[00:34:24] there's no room or money for the tariffs, buddy.

[00:34:26] You've got to, when I say you, I mean your administration spent us into oblivion.

[00:34:31] Biden spent us into oblivion.

[00:34:33] Barack and George spent us into oblivion.

[00:34:36] Okay?

[00:34:36] We've been out of control for quite some time.

[00:34:39] And, you know, you didn't cut spending the first go-around, President Trump.

[00:34:43] I sure hope Doja gets it done the second go-around.

[00:34:45] But you don't got a great track record.

[00:34:47] And this idea that you're going to protect Canada even more than the United States?

[00:34:51] Because our borders leak like a sieve.

[00:34:53] And I don't, you know, I don't really see how, you know, there's always been this goal to make Canada,

[00:35:00] the United States, and Mexico one trading group, then one country, kind of like they're working on in Europe, right?

[00:35:09] I'm not exactly excited about all this expansion idea.

[00:35:12] So in his social media posts or whatever, when you say to the wonderful soldiers of China,

[00:35:17] we're taking back the canal.

[00:35:18] When you say to Greenland, we're going to go ahead and, you know, then when you say, hey, Canada,

[00:35:23] you're talking about really aggressively pushing on something that if you're not very careful, Donald, listen to me carefully.

[00:35:33] If you're not very careful, President-elect Trump, you will push us into the brink.

[00:35:38] All these countries already hate the United States.

[00:35:40] The blowback principle that Ron Paul speaks of is real.

[00:35:42] And the more you act as agent provocateur, the more you force countries to topple leaders or exchange this,

[00:35:50] or we're going to buy that, or we're going to be here, we're going to do this, we're going to do that,

[00:35:53] and everybody wants us everywhere, and we're the world's cop.

[00:35:56] And the more you promote that agenda, the more you'll be hated by the communists.

[00:36:04] We're talking China, North Korea, Russia, whoever.

[00:36:07] You can't handle all these world wars.

[00:36:10] You can't just use a big stick.

[00:36:12] It's taken us a long time to divest all of our economy over to the communist Chinese.

[00:36:18] It's been disaster, but they haven't done it over a short period of time.

[00:36:23] I mean, I remember Ross Perot in the early 90s talking about this, so it's at least 45 years ago, right?

[00:36:34] And when you look at that, that's a long time, right?

[00:36:38] We're talking 25, 30 years ago.

[00:36:40] And it's taken that whole time to eke out or to carve out or to hollow out our economy.

[00:36:46] It's been disaster.

[00:36:48] But you can't bring it back in a day.

[00:36:52] And I hate to tell you this, but with the other side being so hostile to us,

[00:36:56] the second Trump's out of office, unless it's somebody that's conservative that will carry the ball the same,

[00:37:01] you've only got a short four years to get this done,

[00:37:04] and two years when it comes to the whole of the House.

[00:37:08] You don't have much time.

[00:37:09] I don't think that we're starting to become so aggressive on so many fronts that we'll either look like an absolute crazy bully,

[00:37:17] or we won't get 90% of it done.

[00:37:20] Neither, in my humble opinion, looks good at all.

[00:37:24] Neither of them seem like it makes any sense, right?

[00:37:28] So we need to be very careful here.

[00:37:32] You know, Biden doing stupid things, trying to put Trump into a war or a no-back-away situation.

[00:37:38] I don't know if it's done for political purposes or why,

[00:37:41] or if he really wants war and he's just going to ensure that war happens.

[00:37:45] Sadly, I'm predicting it's going to be wartime during the Trump administration.

[00:37:50] I wish that it wasn't, but I can only see that it is.

[00:37:54] The moves Joe Biden's made, the moves Barack Obama made, the moves that Donald Trump has made,

[00:38:00] it's setting us up for a war.

[00:38:02] What are people going to think when we try to take over Greenland and Canada?

[00:38:07] Panama Canal.

[00:38:11] Should we just be on this massive expansion plan?

[00:38:15] I don't really see that we should.

[00:38:17] I see that it's a mistake.

[00:38:19] One, we don't have the money to take in all these people.

[00:38:22] And most of these people don't produce enough taxes to justify their socialist society either.

[00:38:27] Are we going to embrace Canadian health care system?

[00:38:31] Many people pitch it as the holy grail.

[00:38:34] I'm telling you right now, it's disaster.

[00:38:36] It's a horrible system.

[00:38:39] But are the Canadians going to, you know, change and embrace our style of health care,

[00:38:44] which is already too government-controlled?

[00:38:45] When it's on the way, it's halfway to Canada, isn't it, by now?

[00:38:57] And look, the Republicans after World War II were the ones that wanted,

[00:39:00] well, you got to put a halt on how much you pay people.

[00:39:05] So they devised this idea that you could fund health care

[00:39:08] and it's not increasing somebody's wages.

[00:39:10] And government's been involved in health care forever on that altar.

[00:39:17] It's dishonest.

[00:39:19] It's not the proper role of government.

[00:39:20] But see, I complain and then they say, you're anti-government, Sam.

[00:39:23] And I'm like, no, I'm for the proper role of government.

[00:39:29] Yes, I am anti-unconstitutional government.

[00:39:33] But I am for the proper role of constitutional government.

[00:39:36] I am for limited government.

[00:39:39] I am for carrying out the contract that we, the people, have with our state

[00:39:50] So I'm concerned about this.

[00:39:53] And I think this is part of the reason that Trump does this in these posts.

[00:39:57] Because it's hard to put all this together into a, quote, Christmas message.

[00:40:01] Because it's several kind of shout-outs to several groups of people internationally

[00:40:07] And so it becomes kind of this nebulous discussion.

[00:40:10] But when you take it as one message like the Epoch Times did,

[00:40:15] and I wish they were a little bit more clear so that I didn't hunt so long

[00:40:18] to get the details on this.

[00:40:19] But when you do several different Christmas media posts over a several-day period of time,

[00:40:24] and they're just posts, they're not videos and stuff,

[00:40:26] at first it seems like, hey, that makes sense.

[00:40:28] That makes sense.

[00:40:29] But when you look at it in its totality,

[00:40:34] you're talking about the Panama Canal,

[00:40:35] but you're also talking about the soldiers of China.

[00:40:38] You're talking about the people of Greenland.

[00:40:41] You're talking about the people of Canada.

[00:47:09] for Congress's addiction to spending.

[00:47:11] And so I offer a fiscally responsible path

[00:47:14] to pay for the bill.

[00:47:15] Spare Americans from increasing

[00:47:17] the hidden tax of inflation.

[00:47:19] My amendment would rescind 810 million dollars

[00:47:22] from the Department of Energy's

[00:47:24] boondoggle green new energy deals.

[00:47:27] It's a $4.75 billion program

[00:47:30] that has had repeated bankruptcies in it previously.

[00:47:34] It's absurd to force taxpayers

[00:47:36] to subsidize rich companies

[00:47:38] with vast resources of their own

[00:47:41] to gamble on energy projects

[00:47:43] that the private sector finds too risky.

[00:47:45] And actually, it should be about priorities.

[00:47:48] The people in Asheville

[00:47:49] or the Green New Deal.

[00:47:51] No, this is the best time

[00:47:53] to put them in contrast.

[00:47:54] Not some other time

[00:47:56] when people are not hurting,

[00:47:57] when people can't see the contrast.

[00:47:59] Everybody in Asheville

[00:48:00] should wake up today

[00:48:01] and find out

[00:48:02] their senators are going to reject

[00:48:04] the disaster money

[00:48:05] because it's paid for.

[00:48:09] taking it from the Green New Deal

[00:48:29] from the Government Accountability Office

[00:48:31] found that when five companies

[00:48:33] defaulted on these Green New Deal loans,

[00:48:36] the taxpayers,

[00:48:37] lost $800 million.

[00:48:39] It's not a good program

[00:48:40] to begin with,

[00:48:41] but it's an easy place

[00:48:42] to go looking

[00:48:43] for something

[00:48:44] that is more important

[00:48:45] like the people of Asheville

[00:48:46] and North Carolina.

[00:48:47] This money would have

[00:48:49] nearly covered

[00:48:49] today's disaster loan funding,

[00:48:51] but was needlessly

[00:48:52] squandered previously.

[00:48:54] But there's still money

[00:48:55] in the fund today.

[00:48:57] I offered this identical amendment

[00:48:59] to pay for another bill

[00:49:00] a month ago,

[00:49:01] and every Republican

[00:49:02] voted for it.
